When you have the solution to world peace and ending poverty, be sure to let us know, won't you?
There are also a large number of religious crazies, "rescuers" and assorted do-gooders in the lower end of the NGO gene pool, I will agree, and they are especially attracted to some of the anti-trafficking organisations.
But some of the most skeptical people I know work in the broader field of international development. This is mainly because outside observers (primarily politicians, non-professionals and academics) are busy imposing their particular ideologies, both right and left wing, rather than looking for solutions that work.
Your cynicism is also an ideological position, in case you were wondering.
