I did send a FOIA request to the State Department in early May. Believe it or not, responsive documents have started to roll in, roughly 18 months earlier than I would have anticipated. And some of them are actually substantive and not just blank or blacked out pieces of paper.
In time, all of the pressing questions about this scandal will be answered.
But for now, I will point out that one of my key questions that I demanded answered when the story broke in April was actually addressed by Julia Wallace and Sun Narin in their coverage for VOA Cambodia back in June.

Was this just a private chat with 32 members or an actual Facebook “group” ? If it was a group they should try to at least get the name of the group. Was it “Embassy Dudes Luv Teen Ass 4Eva”? Come on, at least give us the name.
According to the
VOA article:
"A guard named Sarith, 45, told VOA Khmer that he started the chat group in July 2017. It was initially titled “US Embassy Security Guards,” but later cycled through several names, including “Security Guard Lothario,” the title of a popular Cambodian song about a guard who seduces another man’s girlfriend."
