Personally, I wouldn't put my shoes on my desk my hands will later go, my coffee rests on, etc (nor on a chair where someone else with nice trousers may sit, as there's a photo of Obama doing just that on AirForce One). Of all the photos, at least Trump had his shoes off. I don't think you'd find similar photos of European leaders, but I could be wrong.
But that's all null and void. The thread was about people doing it in public spaces, someone venting. I was rather pissed when someone laid down on a couch next to me in a lounge the other day, and fell asleep snoring loudly. Of course he can snore in his own bed; but in a lounge it was not acceptable (they even provide a napping room for that).
