This is an absolute steal (Cuts is the relatively new steakhouse in Vattanac):
That bun looks even worse than the veg soup below the undercooked meat. How were the fries?
Fries were good, view was better. We also had the place to ourselves for that lunch. I see they've now upped it to $14.
I went there today. The view is great. It's a classy place and a man feels classy walking in there with a dame. $14 is an excellent price for a burger in a place like this especially including drink (soft drinks are otherwise priced at $5).
Here's the problem. The burger was . . . not good. I ordered it medium rare, the waitress repeated "medium rare" and there was not even a sliver of pink to be seen. The burger was kind of overly thick and heavy and soggy and too salty.
My girlfriend had the chicken burger, it's not a flame grilled filet or chicken breast, it's more like a patty of minced chicken with other bits inside. She also thought hers was too salty.
And there are no other reasonably priced lunch offerings except the burgers. You're either spending $14 or $30+.
