Oh, that's much cheaper than I thought. How did you get to $988? So let's keep the previous example: a 2005 450cc bike is taxed at 51.8%. Valuation=$1700. So 1700*.518=$880. A brand new 2017 250cc is taxed at 45.75%. Valuation $2400. So 2400*.4575=$1098 in tax? Am I doing it right?
Roughly how much did it cost you to ship your bike over from Ireland Jackal? ~$700, 1000? I really have no clue. Was it much of a hassle to get the bike once it got to SHNV? Did they dick you around or was it fairly straightforward? You used a handler or...? Bike had to be drained of oil, boxed up and so on I suppose?
Also, from my limited understanding, it seems like that bottom list isn't for off-road bikes, but for non-EU/Jap/US bikes. Both the top and bottom list give rates for road and non-road (motocross) bikes. However, the bottom list is for non-Jap/EU/US bikes. Which pretty much only leaves Chinese and Indian bikes I guess. Maybe I'm reading it wrong.
