With Smart I can currently get 10Gb (valid for up to 1 week) for $1 (*1333*7#) which is pretty good price-wise, but like ADSL, the performance is very variable. Neither Opennet or Digi can answer simple questions like
Is my house in your FTTH coverage area?
Can I try FTTH for a month and if it's as crap as your ADSL cancel without incurring the $60/$50 charge for bailing early on the 2/1 year minimum contract?
(Opennet) Can I have a static IP and if so, how much does it cost?
Is your ONU just a modem or does it include routing functionality? AKA will I have to fight with double NAT? OK, this one is a little bit technical
In the meantime tethering on 4G is mostly OK upstairs, hopeless downstairs where the signal is weaker.
