AAH-SO,Chinese "chop Suey" on the menu.
Oi! Behave people! I'm to be their daddy!
How 'bout helping me choose names?
I had my last 2 cats - little sisters like these, for about 17-18 years - saw me through 2 marriages, they did.
At the time I got them I had an annoying Christian neighbour repeatedly knocking on my door trying to convert me (she was also stressed out that I was their daughters' RE teacher but not born-again). In her honour I named the pair
Isis and
Ishtar after the Egyptian and Babylonian fertility goddesses. Next time she banged on the door, went 'aw' and asked their names - was the last time. She withdrew her daughters from my classes too.
I'm thinking a local variant could be 'Devi', and then there's the "I'm washing my hair"goddess, Thorani/Sowathara. I did find this ginger apsara, but she's nameless
Soma would otherwise have been a lovely name for a Khmer cat, but no.
