Jess, it has happened often, but obviously the contract only came into force once it had been physically signed.
A few people stepped off the plane in Phnom Penh, decided it wasn't for them and left within a few days.
I had one American guy accept all the terms, arrive for the interview wearing shorts, climbing boots and a t-shirt, and then start demanding payment for his visa-after he had accepted a contract which specified that this would only be paid retrospectively after his second year of service.Such are the people we work with.
People have to protect themselves against this happening.
