I'm an American with no plans to go back to the US in the foreseeable future. I have taught at a WASC accredited international school for 4 years with a MA, but no teaching license. It is getting to the point where I would like to take a PGCE. I am aware this is not a teaching license for US, UK, etc. However, I have heard it has utility in Southeast Asia. Is this info accurate? My long-term goal is to stay in this region; maybe Cambodia, maybe a neighboring country. I have no desire to go back to the US and take a 2-year teaching program
Does anyone have experience distance learning (since I would be studying from Cambodia) for a PGCE? University of Nottingham and Sunderland both offer the type of program that I'm looking for an within my budget at around 3,500 pounds or $4,500.
Any information could be helpful. Thanks.
