They do not get that large in Cambodia, however Tokays are common (though the Chinese will quickly see to that) and they can grow to over a foot long.
I love the Tokay, so good they named it twice
, one lives on the in-laws bathroom wall (outside of course). A little unnerving being that close the first time but they are beautiful creatures. Apparently they are lucky to the Khmer too, which I assume is the reason they haven't eaten it.
I have a resident gecko at home in Aus, easily a foot long, great bug catcher, there's a large one at Golden Butterfly Villa SR (about 10 inches+) in the dinning area, the staff take real good care of it.
