1.) Are there any resources or places I can find schools that are hiring? ( is there a place I can send my resume?)
Yes, but a lot of charlatans and nobody reads CVs. Try bongthom.com
2.) Are there any schools I can work that are in more of a rural area? (just personnel preference)
Yes.
3.) Is it wiser to find a school before I fly over or should I wait so I can feel out the atmosphere and setting of the school?
The last one.
4.) Cost of Living? I know I have looked it up but I wanted to get an answer from the horse's mouth if that makes sense.
How long is a piece of string, don't forget visa/wp costs?
5.) Safety? I have already read about some things like theft and pickpockets. Is there anything I just should always keep my eye on or be wary off?
Don't be a dick/stay lucky
6.) Medications? I read some threads about pharms, I just need one prescription so if I ask for a mood stabilizer will that bat some eyes? I know mental illness is viewed differently place to place.
Downers are sold like candy at all pharmacies
7.)I feel silly but I use a pod-based vape for cutting down on my smoking cigarettes. I read it is illegal in Cambodia is that true? and if so can I use nicotine patches and gum instead? is that available?
Not really illegal, vapes easy to find. Nic patches/gum hard to find and crazy expensive.
8.) what is a good health insurance plan for overseas while working? or just any ideas on that part? ( I served tendons in my hand in china and had to pay out of pocket for the surgery don't want that stress again.)
Served tendons? Those Chinese eat anything.
9.) what to bring with me? I usually bring one carry on and one large suitcase which is enough to fit all my possessions. Are there some things I should bring with me that are not widely available or that you wish your brought over but didn't?
Your mum.
10.) If I have an American license should I apply for international licenses and what is the situation with mopeds and motorbikes?
Unsure, changes weekly. Should be fine. Don't stop for cops and always carry $5 in your pocket. Don't crash.
11.) what are some rookie mistake and some advice that you could give me anything would help and I will greatly appreciate it.
Where to start? Whores and drugs are usually the first port of call....
