That's not exactly accurate, whatsoever. The U.S. Justice Department stated that RT (in America) had received payments from a foreign principal identified as ANO TV-Novosti, a Russian media company. In announcing the filing, the Justice Department called ANO TV-Novosti a “Russian government entity.’’ The paperwork lists Mikhail V. Solodovnikov as the sole owner of T&R. Afterwards, RT America decided to comply and they filed paperwork with the Justice Department to register as foreign agent. They are still allowed to broadcast, though.

After that, Google and Twitter got in a fight with RT and the Kremlin, as the executive chairman of Google's parent company, Alphabet, when asked why Russian-backed sites enjoy favorable placement on Google's platforms, he said, “We are working on detecting this kind of scenario … de-ranking those kinds of sites. It’s basically RT and Sputnik are the two." He added that the company does not want to ban the outlets. And according to Google, the company does not re-rank individual websites.

On a side note, I've been inside the RT America TV station, and met many of the staff there. Some alright people just looking for an interesting job and trying to gain experience, and some complete nutters. The staff is almost all Americans, who don't speak Russian and have no connection to Russia. The one exception is the head of it, who is Russian (and I think he wife was working there as well). They actually get little direction from Russia and what to air, but the head of the place seemed to have one criteria for news: anything that made the U.S. look bad was a priority. This could be some local dispute in Michigan over pig farming, or the NSA spying scandal. Anything to discredit the U.S. government was priority number one. It's strange as I actually think RT outside of America does an OK job on some reporting, but in the U.S. it is crazy the things they say, and the guests they get on board to interview. They will interview some conspiracy theorists via skype from the basement of their mother's home. The fact that millions of American watch RT America is scary. But, they have not been "muzzled" by the U.S.

Again, not same difference at all. You seem to have a tendency lately to not even attempt to make a solid argument or point, but instead try to draw parallels between two very different things, call them the same thing, and then declare victory.
