Re: Battambang Cafes and Bars Update
I used to visit BB regularly (about 7 days/month) 3 years back; Pomme d’Amore (or d'amour as it is spelt) deserves more attention than just gawking at a sign and then making lame remarks about it: Great food, great owners. Portions could be bigger but very good and tasty in a pleasant environment. B...

Ask for receipts, as the Anti corruption law REQUIRES all Khmer government officials to provide them whenever money changes hands. If he won't give one, mention the law. If he does, make sure it says what it is for, if it seems dodgy like in this case, report it to the Anti corruption unit. I asked...

Re: Cambodia vs. Thailand...?
Would you guys say that let's say, 60,000 baht earned in Cambodia (coz I am used to Thai currency) is around 80,000 baht in Bangkok? So you know that you're addressing an audience that's mainly based in Cambodia, yet you demand them to think in Baht because that's what you use. American, by any cha...

Re: Female Curfew in Force.
. He (District police chief Pam Sam Eth) said what? “It was already 9 p.m. when she was raped. She shouldn’t have been out so late,” . Well, to be fair, he would say that, wouldn't he? To look at it any other way would mean acknowledging that he and his men should have been out working. ...

Which is why these bars are so wonderful! While they congregate in their chosen ghettos, the rest of town is virtually a franco-free zone!Playboy wrote:Because they are full of The Cursed French.

Re: Crap Water Pressure
We have a 1000L tank for exactly that reason. Small family, lasts usually 2 days or more. Fill up overnight. We have an on/off tap, both for water in and out; floater is there, but sometimes the incoming water pressure is so strong that it won't hold and the tank floods. The on/off for out prevents ...
