If you have a significant other and/or children buying makes sense. Always nice to leave your kids something, not a condo though, housing would be better.

Re: Glad to see some old faces
Sorry for answering OP when no one else did.
I thought it was a rocket propelled grenade, but I've since been corrected it was only a normal simple honest hand grenade that killed his wife and sent him right off the deep end. My apologies.

Re: Glad to see some old faces
The Horse left Cambodia about 2005 and it had fuck all to do with retirees. He couldn't get his act together here and was just getting fucked up on ice etc and had to leave. He was in Ethiopia for a while and then opened a school in Brazil for a bit. David's wife didn't die in an RPG attack, it was...

Re: Beers, Tears & Broken Veneers: A Frenetic Memoir About Living in Cambodia as an Expat.
I have no idea what that's supposed to mean. Are noisy and insane people somehow more clued up than others? I have no idea what normal and sane is either. But yes, people who get in trouble and post about it were fun to read and a lesson we didn't have to learn ourselves. If you'v never been in a f...

Re: Beers, Tears & Broken Veneers: A Frenetic Memoir About Living in Cambodia as an Expat.
The problem with these memoirs [sic] is that only those who really fuck up write them, and it thus gives the impression that all Cambodia expat experiences are like this. It's rather like people thinking 440 is a good reflection of expat life. The sad - or otherwise - reality is that the vast major...

Re: Glad to see some old faces
sad that "The Horse" is MIA. Controversy was the horse's middle name. Whatever happened to the meth head that looked after Broken Bricks? I saw Cambodia on a travel program recently, wow it's changed since the late 90s The horse left when all these boring retirees turned up here and started giving ...

135 in 3 years? So enough to take a photo and move onto the next. Sounds perfect for Fakebook addicts.
I'd rather stay and experience a country, get to know it. This just sounds silly
