I did use Transferwise to transfer funds to Malaysia, easy, completed within 24 hours and saved me $120 on $10,000 compared to another Online company which I've been using for close to 20 years.
I'm pretty happy with that.
I will be using them again.

TransferWise
I'm thinking of using TransferWise, for the first time(not to Cambodia).
I've read on a couple of forums that they're good and the cost is relatively low.
Any experiences good, bad?
Thanks

Not really a great revelation after 11 years onto the 6th PM.
Now if you had next weeks Lotto numbers that would be something.
Guess the new boy will be gone within 2 years.

Re: DHL Scam
I've used DHL several times over the years in Siem Reap. While I've found the service has its Cambodiaisms I've found them pretty good. They won't pick up or deliver to my house which is 10 minutes from town. Documents were easy, when I purchased a Pool Chlorinator a 20 months ago, the duty I paid w...

] Money wasnt top of my agenda back then, I could live off a loaf bread for 3 days even if I could get a proper meal next door. I rather use my productive time killing campers and bots in Counter-Strike. lol There are names for people like you and they start with L. I know a guy who sounds very much...

Re: How to get rich fast in Cambodia?
Yes. Land and Bitcoin is my biggest regret. When I first traveled to Cambodia it was during peak of the world economy collapse and land prices in Cambodia also hit rock bottom. I was asked by several land owners to buy their land less than $15 per square meter in the vicinity of the city -- money w...

Re: Transfer money out of Cambodia
Not sure about Acleda, but definitely can with ABA, although for amounts over 10k there was some form to complete iirc. I stick to transferring 9k or less as required, fees work out cheaper and less hassle. I transferred substantially more than 10K a few months ago through ABA, the only form I fill...

Re: Banking issues
I've had the same issue with ABA Bank a few years ago. Even though they knew it was my account. They even showed me what my signature should be like and asked if I wanted to to change the bank signature copy. Apparently it was all to do with Auditors. In the end the Manager who was walking past knew...

Refused retirement visa today (too young) refused E visa extension as no work permit (I don't need to work) looks like I'm going to have to be a tourist every 2 months. :( Just to confirm, you were refused by the agents? If so not their decision to to make, should be the Ministry of Whatever I woul...

Re: Avoiding paying tax when returning to Australia
Thanks for suggestions. Just had another idea. Have trusted Khmer friend open internet bank account, take control of their internet bank account. Put money in. Then transfer it all into my Oz bank account as a "gift". Taxman: "what is this money entering your account?". Me: "no idea, someone must h...
