Was looking for a couple of oil drums so went out over Japanese bridge and sure enough about 5km out on the right side there was a place selling them. $20 each in great condition with lid and closer for the big ones.
Thought it was worth updating in case anyone else was looking for the same

Re: buying cambodian nationality with name change
thanks for the wise worlds, in the recent past i used to be able to provide this service to my clients reliably now my contacts have issues thus i have been looking to find a new reliable way to do it fast as I have a particularly affluent client from a war torn country that needs it desperately. I...

Re: buying cambodian nationality with name change
The last westerner I know to get a KHR passport got it by way of services to the country. He was awarded a medal or somesuch by the king. He was however moving in lofty circles due to his job at the time and rubbing the right shouders also, Ultimately it was the H family who approved - it cost him n...

Re: buying cambodian nationality with name change
I believe via the front door is still an option but is much more expensive and you have to satisfy the language requirements (unless you go via the charitable donation route). However I believe the originally referred to statement by HE looks like there may be reforms to these laws

Re: Best motorcycle insurance?
I used to use caminco insurance for various bigger bikes (F800GS, KTM 500 EXC and Triumph scrambler 900) and they were all under the $100 mark but third party only

Re: buying cambodian nationality with name change
It was possible to change your name when acquiring citizenship before, but as pointed out by another poster it turns out to be a PITA if you dont have a real reason to do it. I have recently been told by two different but very well connected people who were able to do it before that it is impossible...

Re: Re:
4% is the usual hard title fee. Yes but the op is saying they are pricing it at $20 per sq metre regardless of what they paid originally. Shit. $20 PSM! I'll have some of that! Most barang will have soft title with the price paid and that's what they will base the 4% on. Possibly. Barangs cant own ...

Re: Motorcycling Questions
I believe that Cambodia isnt part of the international driving licence scheme so technically it isnt valid here and you would need a cambodian licence to drive anything over 125cc. Practically speaking it wont be an issue unless you have an accident then you may or may not find your insurance compan...

Re: Who wants to open a school?
I think the right person can make a great business from properly set up and organized schools, so I am with you on that one. I am not very experienced in this, but the experience I do have seems to indicate that the quality is low. I presumed from your writings that you were talking more of an Engli...

Re: 10k US weekly bankwires would work?
as stated in the last post there is no limit for the movement of legal money. I have transferred $500k plus several smaller amounts (but all over $100k) and never had any issues with either side (sending from my name to my name) as the funds were all legitimate. If you are trying to fly under the ra...

Re: Motorbike protection gear
There is quite a good shop on street 72 just off the side of the off ramp from the Japanese/Chinese bridge. Sorry I cant remember the name but they seemed to have a really good selection. The KTM shops get the odd piece in now and then and there is Husqvana branded stuff in their shop. There is also...

Re: Riding with no plates
I got pulled at the large checkpoint the often set up on road 4 between PPSEZ and the roundabout at the start of road 3 & 4 for having no plate. that was a few months ago and there was a serious police and army presence so doing a runner didn't seem an option. Got pulled at the same checkpoint for h...
