My first motorized two wheeler had scrub brakes. A pad pushed down on the tire.Crude but it did work.Unless the tire was wet. I agree,drums suck in dusty conditions.They start squealing every time you touch the brakes.Not many small bikes have ABS here in Cambodia. Most people don't want to pay extra for it.And it would be hard to find someone to work on them.Great on road,suck off road.

I see a lot of Dreams with the front drum brake cable detached.Along with the speedometer cable.Which is illegal.If you don't have lots of experience with front brakes your better off with drum brakes.Some of the automatic bikes have combo brakes where the rear gets about 80% and the front disk arou...
