Lucky lucky promised - to my friend, you understand - that they could pay the overstay fees on his behalf.
Apparently it can take an extra day to process over the weekend because there's a lot of customers, apparently. So sometimes 2 days rather than one.

Re: Easy visa extension in Phnom Penh
I will tell my fat lazy friend to get down there and make some inquiries pronto. That no-good lardass always wants other people to help him out - "on yer bike, fatty" I will state in the hope of producing an admodishional effect.

Re: Easy visa extension in Phnom Penh
Well, as promised I went and got my visa sorted out, no problems whatsoever. But the funny thing is, I have a friend who was in the same situation as me. I told him "Get down to Lucky Lucky you idiot, time's awasting", but did he listen? No he did not. So now my friend is in the stupid situation of ...

Easy visa extension in Phnom Penh
I'm sure someone has asked this before, but I searched around for a while and couldn't find the answer.
I got an ordinary/business visa when I arrived at PP airport. This expires in 2 days.
How do I get an extension quickly and easily?
Many thanks!

Re: Pain in the butt: I want to know why?
This sounds like the type of problem that could potentially be cured by massage therapy. Lucky for you, massage is very cheap in Cambodia. Try to find somewhere that specifically advertises "massage therapy". Better still, get a recommendation from somebody who lives in your area. I know that Khmer ...

Re: Beltai
I dare say I looked resplendent in my top hat, morning coat, monocle - and of course, my tie.
I went to a few different schools, nobody offered me a job on the spot, time will tell. I'll try again tomorrow.

Beltai
I missed out on a hotel job I was interested in, so now I'm going to try my luck with some language schools. I thought tomorrow I might distribute some CVs around the Beltai schools. My qualifications are NO degree, a TEFL, 3 years teaching hospitality English in Asia, and a couple of short-term job...

Guest house/hotel room in PP for a few days
I'm arriving in Phnom Penh on Wednesday. I'm looking for somewhere cheap to spend a few days, $10/$20 a night. Aircon and wifi if possible.
Will look for an apartment when I get here.
Thanks.

Re: Drugs - the legal kind
Thanks, very helpful info.
The psychiatrist at Bangkok Hospital (Phuket) prescribes me with Ritalin now, it isn't cheap though. Once I've been in Phnom Penh for a couple of days I will give you a call Benvanden - thanks for the heads up.

Drugs - the legal kind
I have a couple of prescriptions dating back years, and I would like to buy more of the same in Phnom Penh if possible. Generic Zoloft (sertraline) Ritalin Zoloft is just an anti-depressant a la Prozac - will this be available in PP pharmacies? Ritalin I would expect to be a lot harder to get hold o...

Thai vs Khmer - differences/similarities
I have the good fortune to be coming to Phnom Penh in a week from Thailand, where I've spent the last 3 years. I understand Thais fairly well - generally good-natured, avoid confrontation wherever possible but tend to go from calm to beserk without a middle stage, somewhat xenophobic (especially the...
