Same side as Orange supermarket between the supermarket and Total petrol station.
A number of friends have had glasses from them and were happy.

Re: Girl, 14 admits killing 4 year old
Maybe it is all the poisons in the natural enviroment. Khmers eat a lot of fish which are basically heavy metal magnets building up polutants such as lead and mercury. From the BBC:- Did removing lead from petrol spark a decline in crime? Many Western nations have experienced significant declines in...

Re: Safe to leave valuables inside room in homestay?
Are there any rooms in SHK or SR for around $150 per month with metal doors you're able to throw a padlock on? Maybe that would be a better idea until I have enough sitting in my bank to buy a new laptop if needed. I was thinking about heading to Thailand in a few days, but the thought of the trip ...

Re: Reliable internet connection
When you arrive you can get online instantly with a 3G USB dongle bought at any phone shop eg Metfone/Smart/Cellcard. Take you passport for ID verification. Then you can look at either an ADSL or Fibre optic line once you settle somewhere and use the dongle as a backup or when you travel. 3G dongle ...

Re: Should I pay 100 baht (tip) extortion to customs agents?
Talked to a guy who came across the Koh Kong (Cham Yeam) Border 2 days ago and he was asked for 1500Bt ($45) for a tourist visa which he duly paid and 2000Bt for a seat in a taxi to SHV which he bargained down to 1500Bt although the other 2 passengers paid the 2000Bt. If my calculator is right that ...

Re: Cheapo ok hostels. snooky, kampot kep etc?
I've heard a couple of anecdotal stories of this for people arriving at SR but never met anyone. Maybe because I live in SNV and people tend to come here via PP (Pochentong) or Koh Kong. At Koh Kong if you pay the (grossly inflated) price you get the Business (or is it still called Ordinary) visa. I...

Re: Cheapo ok hostels. snooky, kampot kep etc?
Word has been around though that even when people apply for a business visa, they are given a tourist visa. So you will still need to extend your visa once you're in the country. Can tell you have a K-Visa :D When you arrive you choose tourist or business but both are only for 1 month. The most imp...

Oh yeah, bikes cost about $5 a day and you leave your passport with them as collateral. Everywhere rents them so have a look around and get good ones.

Re: sihanoukville places to stay on holiday?
You're planning on coming right in the peak month so people have been booking up the good places literally from 6 months ago. Prices are high although off the Xmas/New Year peak but the weather should be glorious. Aqua resort is always reccommended as well as Beach Club Resort and Beach Road Hotel b...

SNV to Kampot is only 100kms so should take just over an hour in a private taxi and the second half is scenic with the road running next to the Elephant Mountains.
