Re: Calling all Teachers!!!
Peter I am heading there MAR/APR and have researched the teaching topic pretty well. And I am about in your boat except for the bars as I am finishing my degree online, so I stay pretty busy and actually enjoy college at this age. - Cambodia, unlike many countries allows you to teach without a degre...

Re: How to meet other foreigners in PP
Good rule for meeting expats: Be careful. If you haven't traveled much, that smiling face and familiar language might be a good person. They might also be anything from a pedophile, or career criminal, or professional leech looking for new people and all things in between. Take time before you put t...

Re: ninja teacher
PS: Would you rather present a CV with a Certificate that says: Ninja Teacher TESOL for 1500USD in Cambodia or American TESOL Institute which is accredited in the US (check it's filings online VA, FL etc) for $300? Good Luck. I remember seeing the ads for that place after thinking about it and it re...

Re: ISPs for PP - Prices & General Info
Thank you all for the feedback. Alexandra, that was very helpful. I think you saw that I am studying online, so it's really valuable and appreciated that you took the time to help out a stranger. 1984, great advice and a reminder. My neighbor here was a former President and my comms/power do very we...

ISPs for PP - Prices & General Info
I did run a couple of site searches and found nothing on point for PP.
Would anyone take a moment to give me the basics on providers, quality and prices?
Thank you for your time.

$ is WAY Too Much
For that price, you should be looking at the CELTA course which compared to a TESOL Certificate (like mine; American TESOL Institute which cost $330 and was well set up with accreditations in the US, legit ones), is like comparing Harvard to Kindergarten. Again, I have the Kindergarten TESOL for now...

Re: Anyone heard good/bad things about these schools?
Gary I appreciate you posting your current experiences. I am arriving early next year, so this is very helpful in addition to the other help I have gotten on this forum. This has been the best one so far in that respect by a long shot. Encouraging news as well. Good luck and again, thanks for puttin...

Re: Teaching Positions Available
Thanks for the heads up. The part about lots of travel between campuses is important to know before I invest time. It i more important to get your take on the supervisor. I emailed from another country with my time on target for PP and he gave a polite and professional reply (stop by when you are in...

Re: What book are you currently reading?
I usually read more than one at a time:
1. TEXAS by James Michener (always a good book to carry abroad...Michener's)
2. THE AFGHAN by Frederick Forsyth (my favorite author)
3. Mi Vida by Jose Harris

Anyone Use Murry's Place (Ad on right)
Sure looks like a good place to start off with while looking for an apartment.
Has anybody stayed there before? I found some discussion on the forum but no reviews, here or on google.
Thank you for your time.
