Re: Entamoeba histolytica: anyone had this parasite?
You might want to skip that one. Stool tests for parasites are pretty unreliable and false negatives are common. The fact there's no parasites in the sample is no proof there's no parasites at all. And 450$ for a drip, consultation and stool test sounds extremely steep..... Even on election day. Ag...

Re: Entamoeba histolytica: anyone had this parasite?
give us a breakdown of what it has cost you so far I only went to Raffles as I'd been to International SOS in Saigon around five years ago and found them pretty decent by western standards. Raffles here was not quite as high a standard, and being election day there was only a Khmer doctor on. This ...

Entamoeba histolytica: anyone had this parasite?
So, I found myself pretty fucking ill over the past couple of days and wound up at Raffles (formerly International SOS) yesterday. After the typical Asian-drip and leg-raising treatment, they took bloods and a stool sample. As it turns out, I have Entamoeba histolytica. I was happy with the service ...

Re: Things to do in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Battambang for returning visitors
One last question: which dentist would you visit in Phnom Penh if you needed a scale and clean? I'm overdue for one and would rather avoid paying Australian dental costs. You could try Smile Clinic on 19 behind the palace, it's about $20. I just had a scale and clean done at Smile Clinic for $20 an...

Re: Things to do in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Battambang for returning visitors
And bars are good but I don't need them. Which smaller provincial towns are worth a visit? I wouldn't listen to Logos, Battambang is really nice (like a less busy non-porno dancing version of Siem Reap) and lots of things popping up restaurant and bar wise and a few sites like the Bat Cave and Lake...

Re: Things to do in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Battambang for visitors who have done all the touristy things already
Siem Reap there is West Baray lake always a good day out especially if you cycle there, then the various lake tours and Mount Kulen are good - I'd recommend using Tara River Boat. Thanks for that  Sihanoukville should do it for you . lol. Sure. I need to brush up my Mandarin. So Mondulkir...

Re: Riding a motorcycle and travel insurance
Most insurers like world nomads require you to be legal in the country your are in, as well as your home country. If you're not legal/licensed to ride a <125cc scooter at home, you won't be covered here, despite you being legal here without a licence. Pretty much this. When I had an accident my ins...

Things to do in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Battambang for returning visitors
I'm coming back to KOW next week and I'm looking for some suggestions on what to do to make my stay more interesting. I've spent a few months in the country during two previous trips and want to explore the country further. What would you recommend doing for someone who already has some experience o...

Riding a motorcycle and travel insurance
I'm coming back to Cambodia for a third time next week and want to hire a motorcycle while in Kampot (and perhaps Battambang). However, there are a few things I'm confused about. From what I've read on the forums the IDP won't cover me from an insurance perspective as it's not accepted in Cambodia. ...

Re: Work options for highly qualified, experienced teachers
Earning 35K and not paying rent, while not adventurous in itself, would sure leave me with a lot of coin to spend on whichever adventure I see fit.
And I'd be interested in any writing position that pays well. What kind of options are there in PP?

Re: Legit online English teaching opportunities
This is indeed fantastic
Is anyone teaching online from Cambodia? Is the internet speed/stability sufficient these days?
I'd be keen to hear about anybody's experiences.
I know ISPP teachers get paid very well for Spanish, apt. allowance, etc.
That sounds interesting. Do you have any other information about this?
