Re: Aussie abomination
Vegemite, the abomination, grew out of copying 'Marmite'.
Is that so easy to (mis) understand?
Another Australian copy!

Re: Smiling Toul Sleng victims
The excuse that was used was that he wanted to 'humanise' the victims.
The whole point of those chilling photos (the originals)is the look of utter bewilderment and hopelessness on the faces of the poor victims. What a jerk that so-called artist is.

Here's a little ditty: Jab, jab, jab, Scab, scab, scab, No jab, no jab, Nab, nab, nab. I can't help but think of 'The Stranglers': 'You're not real, oh no, you're not,' ... 'It's coming in a rush.' Peasants in the big shitty. (Just my way of keeping sane.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRD-d2atgP4 )

Re: Siem Reap - Curfew Implemented
Yep, after a paltry 12 cases (at the time of writing). I'd be interested to know whether the spread spreads its largesse in outside-of-curfew hours. In other words, does the virus lurk in the shadows until, let's say, 8 PM, after a few hours' siesta, before pouncing on an unsuspecting public - only ...

He's quite an amazing character and served with distinction in the Royal Navy during WWII and later. His mother's life history is fascinating. Her daughters married Nazis but she was far from being one, she sheltered a Jewish family when Athen's Jews were being annihilated : https://en.wikipedia.or...

Speaking of Easter... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYzAxjnxuJY Lucky that pastor is practicing in Canada and not in US - he'd have had 20 rounds through him in the first couple of minutes! I am not a fan of religion. Of that I am certainly not. But I do admire this pastor's stance. If only we co...

Why am I not surprised that ricecakes is moving ever more steadily into the anti vaxxer nutjob conspiracy theorist camp with Hot Pink, Fred and springrain? Why am I a conspiracy theorists nutter because I am cautious and wary. You're never going to get 100-percent compliance unless you live in a di...

K440 has a long way to go to overcome the legacy of keepinitriel or scobienz and their methods and crowd. Given I’m quite rightly derided for being a misanthropic anti-social loner, the idea I have a ‘crowd’ is horrifying. I feel unclean. I don't think you're misanthropic, anti-social or a loner, b...

No, it's not (not me, at any rate - I can't speak for HPUM, obviously).Covidiot wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 1:43 pmIs it springrain or hot pink urinal mint or any of the other anti vax researchers from this forum?
I would refuse to take the 'vaccine', but I wouldn't refuse to take a test.
They are not quite the same thing.

I won't take it, for reasons I have explained to scobie in a PM. I might have to swim, or walk, or pay a bung, but I am not going to be injected. If I have to leave, so be it. Financial reasons may hold water for a while, Reasons of principle may hold even more water But a swash that erodes freedom ...

Re: RIP Brett Sciaroni
He was a repulsive lecher, akin to Alderman Meggarty in Priestley's An Inspector Calls.
At Dingo Bar, his fat carcass would almost be carried in by fawning whores, knowing his wallet would spill out even further than his guts did.
Having said that, RIP to a colourful character.

Re: Schools ordered to close by Ministry of Education
It has just been announced that private schools can open from ... today.
Obviously, the International schools will open on either the 4th or the 11th January.
For state schools, the new academic year starts on Monday, Jan 4th.
Full-time, as I understand it.
