I just booked the Raffles for someone returning next week. Smooth and easy process done by email, paid by credit card, and now a BMW GT will be waiting at the airport for him.
I hear the Raffles is also offering a number of add-ons, from in room exercise equipment to whiskey and wine tastings.

Re: The US is bullying Cambodia - Tom Fowdy
I'm pleased and plenty of cambodians will be too. I don't know or care the us motives. Anyone that pressures an authoritian government is fine by me You are not only wrong, but this thinking has led to some of the greatest problems in the last 100 years. An opinion piece in the New York Times in 20...

Would a white guy get charged more for a bag of weed in Jamaica than a local? Absolutely. Speaking of dangerous islands, Jamaica is at the top end of that list. In St Maarten they wouldn't even let me go to a cockfight, as "you might scare people that you're a cop". Ever read Hunter S Thompson's Th...

Re: Ex-Phnom Penh English Teacher Found Dead in Georgia
From scumbags like this one through to those that the CPU team here have to deal with here abusing & murdering kids, it really makes the blood boil as a decent upstanding bloke in society. (by my own judgement! :D) How do we as "good guys" pick out these little weasels ahead of tragedy? We need to ...

Re: Is there any temperance bars in Phnum Penh
The notion is laughable.
Also labeling all of us that go to bars as "oafish baffoons" shows what an insufferable prick you probably are.

Panama, Colombia and Mexico are all fine choices. Meh, Panama isn't the best, and it's been overrun with Americans for way too long. Colombia has come a long way and is much safer than before. Some beautiful coastal areas, or head into the hills at Medellín if you're more the Chang Mai type. Mexico...

Do miss sea though, Cambodia wasnt somewhere I thought to nice family to but probably the most fascinating place I been to. The Car...

Re: Importing a car
Don't bother, if it is that special to you, you absolutely do not want to be driving it in this country. What’s wrong with driving here? Nothing wrong with driving here, but you have to expect some idiot to dent, scratch, or even take the mirrors off your car at some point- if not worse. Better to ...

Re: A Chinese guy was keeping a lion in Boeng Keng Kang
I wonder what the landlord thinks of this dude not only having a lion, but a goat and ostrich in the house. Rent for the villa is $5k a month. I dunno, I’d say give it back with a special license (that cost $30k). What else will they do with it for the next 14-30 years? If it eats the owner than tha...
