Re: Taco Bell in Thailand
A lot of franchises operate that way, so I don't see it as a big drawback for someone with a modicum of motivation. A larger issue is I thought McDonald's required you to own the land or something, but I might be totally wrong.

Re: How do you stay healthy?
What exactly is the point of going without a drink for six months? Are you a borderline alcoholic and your liver is messed up? If you have one, you need another seven? I've had a total of maybe five or six drinks this month. I've always been in decent shape and work out, but for the past month I rea...

Re: Dill pickles for sale
I was tempted a while back, but given that they cost the same or more than imported Vlasics, I decided against it. I eat pickles like they're chips, meaning one is never enough, so I figured it would be financially foolish. Still, I loved the peanuts back when he carried them and given the good revi...

Re: National Route 3
Did you not hear of the flooding on HWY4 earlier this year? All heavy overloaded traffic was diverted to the 3. Oh yeah, how are are those ditches along the 3? Oh that's right, large portions of it don't even have them, so they just dug them up now. It's been fucked for months now, especially that p...

Khai Nam are the only ones I've ever used. They have a bus about six times per day, some leaving at 5 or 6am. Quick, and buses are acceptable.

Re: Mu Gourmet closed
Yeah, I'm really sad about Home Top. They went from being the only hardware store in town (badly needed) with quality products. I'm guessing they weren't making enough money, as they then started reducing stock, and finally converted to a supermarket that has nothing unique in any way. Same boring s...

Dang... I sued to go once a week. I noticed for a while that they weren't stocking as wide a variety as before. A shame if it's permanent and not just a relocation. I think the market business is pretty though, as a lot of competition has popped up recently, though it was the best along with Thai Hu...

Can we safely assume you're at the concert as I write this, given your profound knowledge of his lyrics? :-p

It's ok, he's a millionaire now after having received all that generous compensation cash for the new highway to Sihanoukville. 50% accuracy average, can't get them all right!

Ouch... I'm guessing mine costs around $60 for only ~12-20h/day (say average 18h/day). Room is maybe 30-33sqm. Maybe I should get it serviced soon.

Re: Canada legalises recreational cannabis use
Seems odd the legal age to buy pot in Alberta and Quebec is 18 years but 19 years for the rest of the country. Goddam stoners :weed: It's the same with alcohol. Each province sets their own drinking age. Manitoba has 18 as their drinking age but I seen their cannabis age is 19. Federally pot is leg...

Re: Everything But Arms to go away
If the advantages of the EBA are removed, it is not the 'corrupt politicians' that the EU is aiming at that will suffer. Nice work there by the EU in screwing over the poor. Perhaps, but it will still directly affect the ruling elite, as they obviously don't want 500 000 unemployed people on their ...
