Re: Brexdemic
And now the haulage companies can’t rely on cheap overseas labour, they’re going to have to improve working conditions if they wish to attract back British workers to the industry.
Dear God, how can we possibly tolerate this dystopian future?

Re: Brexdemic - Page 3
Interesting that every channel left and right are reporting shortages in the UK in one way or another (be it empty shelves, lack of lorry drivers, fuel, or whatever), but the ONLY ones disputing these claims are the hardcore Brexiteers. Of which RobW is a prime example, by the way. Oh wait, these r...

Re: Brexdemic
The UK has a media problem not a Brexit problem. The news channels just kept banging on about shortages until people start panic buying.
They’ve got to have something new to keep the plebs tuning in now that everyone is bored with Covid.

The supply issues are terrible, I was on Sainsbury’s yesterday and there were only three varieties of avocado.
Pro tip: if you want to avoid the shortages, just turn off the TV.

Re: Brexdemic
The data speaks for itself. The UK won the race, at least in terms of countries with large populations. There have been no meaningful restrictions for over two months, non whatsoever for three weeks and we've had all the variants, yet the R rate is one or below, and the link between infection and ho...

Re: Brexdemic
I think some countries actually believed they could outwit a virus with blunt government policy. When in reality they were just getting a pass because the maths didn't work climate/demographics/season/variant. Like death, everyone is going to get their turn sooner or later, so all things considered ...

Re: Brexdemic
Don't get me wrong, Boris is a buffoon. But this article is a work of fiction. Last time I checked, the UK had one of the fastest vaccine rollouts of any major country. We currently have no Covid restrictions at all, having already seen the Delta wave peak, with deaths a mere fraction of what was se...

Re: Police laugh and vandalize vaccination card when expat tries to exit Yellow Zone to withdraw money and buy food
My theory is that about 1 in 10 people on this planet are a complete cunts. In normal circumstances they are not in a position to exhibit their cuntishness, it's either been beaten out of them at school, on in adulthood such behaviour has consequences, or generally holds them back and prevents them ...
