Re: Long Reads Thread
^^I'll agree actually, I don't have a lot of time to read, so just a few clickable links aren't going to do anything for me. It's like all the books my friends have bought me that I never read, I just haven't been able to get around to them. I would however, read a post by someone here who summarize...

Re: Maybe she can practice in Cambodia??
For real though, she reminds me of those local Khmer girls who shotgun makeup over their faces in a desperate attempt to look like someone (or something) else.

Re: What are the health benefits of exercising on a bicycle?
I've always had amazing luck with my tires here. I've had two flats, one when the valve stem sheered off from doing a bit of a hard stop, and one slow leak. I must have put several 10's of thousands of km on my bikes too. Only thing I can think that I do differently is that I buy the most expensive ...

Re: Merc garage?
^^That may have to be the route to go I guess, along with a bunch of trial and error. Had a "German car specialist" take a look at it, but it's still not right after a lot of work. I suppose I could get the parts and buy a 2 post lift and fix it myself if I could be arsed... Thanks anyway, and if an...

Re: Merc garage?
Perhaps the garage went the way of the wind then... I want to say it was foreigner staffed (at least the head guy, may have been the Mercedes mechanic you mention), but it's been a while and I'm not sure. I know PH was a businessman, he just seemed to know more ins and outs of Mercs in Cambodia. Any...

Merc garage?
I remember maybe 5 years ago hearing there was a Merc garage around that had genuine stuff and did really good work supposedly, but I can't remember what it was called. PH referred me to it (don't know if he's still the Merc man here), but is that garage still around? I've got a kind of shabby W140 ...

Re: Toyota CVT fluid? Where to buy?
Found some, 10th time is a charm. Little hole in the wall looking shop, but the owner/foreman was really sharp and knew his stuff. Valvoline full synthetic, $60 a gallon (US). Doesn't say it's compatible on the jug since it's a US market fluid, but it meets the specs of Toyota TC fluid just in case ...

Re: Why can't Cambodians fry eggs properly? Is it cultural?
My wife likes gooey eggs with a little crispness to them Gooey yolks are awesome, but surely nobody likes the white bit to be gooey? Which is my issue here. That's what she likes... Gooey on top (whites and all), crisp on the bottom (or not, it doesn't matter). I don't know either, I'm with you on ...

Re: Why can't Cambodians fry eggs properly? Is it cultural?
I just cook most of my own food here instead. Saves me a lot too, eating out is expensive here.
For eggs, all down to preference (as mentioned below). My wife likes gooey eggs with a little crispness to them (way too raw for my liking), and she's a foreigner too so...
