Re: Where to buy a kettlebell
Yeh, I never did a positive answer to my request, although it seems that super-expensive joint on Monivong might stock them.

Re:
Wait, so he's against starting wars in other countries? isn't that largely what made Bush unpopular? So why don't the lefties love him? It's ironic; it's complicated! But the neocons are joining with the establishment republicans to oppose him. It could even get as drastic as moderate and neocon re...

Re: Trump is next US president
I wouldn't mind some thoughts on this: as a non-American, I'm not too bothered about American domestic policy, but I am deeply interested in American foreign policy, and so I would like to think through what American foreign policy would look like under Trump. This is how it looks to me: He is ultra...

Re: Classroom management - a good read
The issue of phones has cropped up quite a lot on this thread, and you obviously want them switched off for most of the class. Why not embrace them from time to time though? They're a great resource for webquests/research projects and the use of technology is especially motivating for teenagers. I ...

Re: Things are changing in PP - private transport
Here's a slightly different perspective re. Phnom Penh: I live on the outskirts of town, about 9 km from the centre, and i don't drink 'n' drive, so if i go out i use private transport. Afternoon or early evening, hailing a local tuktuk and getting into town is no problem and the fee I offer is alwa...

Re: Tabcorb's murkey Cambodia adventure
This yarn dates back to 2010 when any company entering the Cambodian market had to play the game. Anyone contemplating doing business here now needs to be aware: there is of course still plenty of corruption at all levels, but now, in the run-up to the election, a real concerted effort is being made...

Re: Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 Season
I'm really regretting blowing my WC too early. Missus has all her jokers intact. I think the DGW are all gonna come right at the death, meaning in the last 3 or 4 GWs we'll all be tossing them in like billy-o with a few huge scores and last-minute tears and cheers. Gonna be great!

Re: SHV: Decomposed body of missing Brit Michael Dredge found in remote area
I'm not suggesting. I am asking if the area is known for it? Yes you are suggesting, otherwise why ask, especially why register to ask that question. You either are here to smear this man for some reason or you have something you think you know that want to say. So spit it out. What is your point? ...

Embarrassed to say I followed MacBeth with not P&P&Z, but 'Gods of Egypt'springrain wrote:I can't help but see a link with 'Exodus, God's & Kings' (Ridley Scott, 2014) in which a malevolent, nasty child is presented as 'God'.

Unless you were born in Ethiopia and your ancestors never left then are also the descendents of immigrants. Does that mean that we should allow uncontrolled immigration into our countries and just accept degradation of our culture, history, values and heritage? Immigration is a privilege, not a rig...

Re: two little movie reviews
Scarily enough, I scribbled a review of Macbeth (2015) just a few hours ago, which I was meaning to put up: It somehow seems to have a more ‘Scottish feel’ than Polanski’s (1971), helped by the spoken accents and the background music. It takes rather a few too many liberties with the text, but some...

Re: two little movie reviews
Out of curiosity I watched Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, it's like Jane Austen on steroids with Germaine Greer using napalm to burn bras and bros. Entertaining, well-made, but too predictable. I have that on que for tonight, with the other option being Ava's possessions. Hateful Eight waiting in...
