Fantasy Premier League 2014/15 Season
Quite happy about Costa actually. Every man and his dog's got him and I decided early on that Chelsea and City are going to cancel each other out...will no doubt be wrong, but I'm going for a budget line up this week. Not shedding any tears over Sanchez either...he hurt me bad a couple of weeks ago!

I want to play my wildcard but perhaps not yet. Looks like Sanchez is out but Villa are relatively solid ish anyway...maybe. Damm you Costsa. Liverpool West Ham looks interesting with Sturridge possibly back. He was on fire towards the end of last season.

Well with 4 probable outfield non-starters, I was pushed last night to activate my WC. Now I've got 3 prob non-starters, but I like mt starting XI. However, after a very successful run, my WC really is the gamble of a lifetime (read, utterly stupid) with 2 sub-0.5% differentials, and a few more sub 5%ers. Template it is not. Yikes!

Bit of a differential gamble as well, I've gone for Defoe to replace Costa and put the spare cash into Di Maria for Boyd. Captain Giroud.

I've gone for Defoe too, with Stoke's Wolly in defence/ My expensive striker is Giroud with 4M in the bank, so I can upgrade him to Aggie, Studge or wait for Costa. NO Mancs of either hue - I have a hunch! I also felt that the fixtures meant time up for Downing and Austen. That wasn't a hunch though - could regret it.
The biggest gamble, going against all received wisdom, is having 3 Saints at the back, supplemented by Stoke, Sunderland and WBA. It's all-or-nothing.

Sounds good, defensively good fixture run. You've got the spare cash for Aguero but I gambled against it to try and get some points this week. I've got to hope Aguero gets injured today or suck a 4 pointer next week. Hopefully all 3 games are on the box.andyinasia wrote:I've gone for Defoe too, with Stoke's Wolly in defence/ My expensive striker is Giroud with 4M in the bank, so I can upgrade him to Aggie, Studge or wait for Costa. Old Firm in Scotland, I'd love to see the Gers get a hammering just to pile on the heat

55 points and I slip to second??!!! Fuck you! Pretty decent week all in all. If Sanchez isn't fit I get Austin and his 5 points and Giroud as captain. Wildcard is burning a hole...
Walters was the first player I brought in with my Wildcard....and the first one I took out again. Finished up with Moses....18 point differential

After watching Hull and Aguero, next week's transfers already done. Banking on Captain Giroud for a contribution tonight.

Ah, that's where my Manc-free strategy falls to the ground. Hull were woeful.rl66 wrote:After watching Hull and Aguero, next week's transfers already done. Banking on Captain Giroud for a contribution tonight.
I've got Giroud as captain with Caz the supporting act - go go Gunners!

Toughest league in the world? No I don't mean the BPL, I mean the K440 league! I'm 14pts above average, but still the red downward arrow of doom appears. I even took a punt on giving Defoe the armband after bringing him in for Costa ... "Get in!" I said when I saw him appear on the score sheet. I've also got Kane & Aguero, clean sheet from my keeper, cheeky 5 pointer from Di Maria, but no ... red it is!
Relying on Walcott & Bertrand to have a blinder today.
(Green up arrow in all other leagues I'm in!)

Can see your headlights clearly in my rear view mirror now! I've got 3 Arses in action tonight...switched the armband from Giroud to Cazorla at the last minute...and I've got Koschelnikov. Should be an interesting game!
