Spam attack on IT / buy and sell forum

This is a free speech zone where you can discuss and debate everything Cambodia related whether you're a dyed in the wool leftist, a liberal or somewhere to right of Attila the Hun. This is also where you get to read the news the local media suppresses.

Mods, check it out.
People who steal from banks get jail. Banks who steal from people get bonuses. You gotta love capitalism!

Just to follow up Vlad's report, we do get these kind of posts frequently and we almost always whack them before anybody even notices.

The iphone posts (in which a dozen or so up-to-date high tech phones are listed at discount prices) are not spam posts. In fact they are fraud posts with the idea being that gullible readers will transfer cash in advance for a phone that will invariably not appear.

These posts appear out of Africa (especially Nigeria) and are deleted on sight.

Therefore, if and when 440 readers see posts of this nature, there's absolutely no need to report them to us. We're on to it already. Just ignore the scammers and let us do our stuff, which involves deleting the post, banning the username and email and barring the IP the post originated from.

cheers

Great explanation KiR, I wished all forum owners were that straight-forward!
