This is a free speech zone where you can discuss and debate everything Cambodia related whether you're a dyed in the wool leftist, a liberal or somewhere to right of Attila the Hun. This is also where you get to read the news the local media suppresses.

Thanks Monty, edited. I can't see many people going to work for one day (Tuesday) over Pchum Benh.

OK, changed that one (Pchum Benh) 2012. I'm still not sure about Pchum Benh 2013. http://www.acledabank.com.kh/kh/eng/md_ ... y_2012.phpWater Festival is right according to the above link. To the best of my knowledge, Pchum Benh always falls in September, which means both Monty's link and the Acleda Bank info is incorrect.wtf? I understand the lunar calendar thing, but a change from 26th September to 14th October?

And it would be impossible to have dates for 2013 because even the govt hasn't thought about it.
I think it's usually around mid-December when I the govt someone says, "Hey, look! There seems to be another year coming up after this one! Totally came as a shock, because the last page in my calendar said 'December' and ended. I guess we should map out our 26 days of holidays... Does anyone remember when the king's brother's nephew's cousin's grandma's uncle's sister's birthday was this year?..."
And then the holiday schedule is thrown together in orderly Khmer fashion, sent to PlayBoy and he forwards it to the mortals and posts it here.

True.
Perhaps the mods should delete the thread so that people don't get confused/ I don't get offered a knighthood/ post in the Department of Planning.
