I will head to Garage Bar after work, a place that Henning and I enjoyed many beers in.
You are all welcome to join, nothing organised, not an official event or anything, just a few drinks and maybe share some memories of a great person.

I'll be doing this In Melbourne tomorrow in memory of my mate.
Henny contributed to several other sites and the common outpouring of sentiment is the same as on K440.
Respect.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

It's from the food section of TT - and we all know how he liked his tucker.
Henny promoted his love of Asia and enjoyment of other people through many sites -.
He took the time to welcome people into his world and in turn was warmly welcomed by them when he visited their country.
RIP Mate.

I'm having a few at home to remember Henning.
I think he would want us to celebrate his passing to a better place rather than grieve.
Adios.

I was shocked to hear the news at the garage last night.I knew that henning had been ill but I had no idea how seriously ill.
He was a unique character and he will be sorely missed by us all.
RIP

Cracked the bottle tonight. Can't think of anything better to drink to remember a foodie and bon-vivant. If there's any left, maybe I'll drop it around to Garage.
Maybe.

Had some beers at my favourite seafood place in Bangkok tonight (Nguon Lee across from Lumpini Park). I raised a glass and my chopsticks several times in his honour. I am sure he would have loved to have shared in the feast. Just sorry I didn't have my camera to record it for the food thread as he would have.
Never met the man in person but he was by far one of most helpfull and friendly people I've ever met online, going out of his way to answer questions from someone he never met.
He invited me to have a couple of beers next time I was in Cambodia, shame that will now not happen
Rust zacht Henning.

A few of us met especially and raised our glasses to Henning at Garage Bar in Phnom Penh tonight. As PB said, he socialized there so often, it seemed the most appropriate place to be as his funeral was happening back in the cold dark place that is Europe. And Jeff had found a lovely photo of Henning and his partner Mint for us to toast.
Auf Wiedersehen, Henning.

Dear Henning,
I've been bed ridden the last few days, and was very sad to read this thread. Like other posters who have never met you in person, I was taken by your humour, helpfulness and love of food. I had hoped that I would catch up with you at some stage for lunch and conversation, as you passed through my province from time to time.
My deepest condolences to your friends, family and loved ones. It seems you have touched the lives of many.
Fare thee well.
May the eternal river carry you, where it is you wish to go.

Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.
