Bokor Rave shootings

  • Quote

Post by Liberty » Tue Jan 03, 2006 5:19 pm

The Bokor rave wasnt as good as last year, but it was slightly more eventful.

At around 1.30am my friend approaches me looking rather sullen and he tells me theres two dead bodies out the front.

There were loads of Khmer gangsters running around and shooting off the roof but the two dead bodies were apparently police and not rival gangsters.

The police had shot each other in a conflict between 2 units after some drunken fun.

I could have bneen misinformed so correct me im wrong and typing a complete load of bollocks but thats what people there were saying.

Anyone heard anything?

You're right on the money mate. It was a cop on cop shootout. 3 dead. Someome got pissed off about someone else's landcruiser shining its lights on their little picnic.
That and all the Bong Tom rich kid twats bouncing around all night make an isolated mountain venue, hundreds of miles away from me, an absolutely ideal place for the rave to have happened.

It's been in the Dreary for the last two days. I don't have a copy in front of me but if memory serves, it's two dead. One cop and a HE bodyguard. Shot by an RCAF guy (?) in a drunken dispute over car lights shone into a crowd and a stone tossed at the car.

Shades of the Heart.

Like I said, I don't have a copy of the article in front of me so I will defer to KiR's description.

Nice to see the local constabulary upholding the law :( whilst under the influence. I don't think I'd trust anyone with a gun here.

Battle it out

Wouldn’t it have been great if the whole area was contained into some form of gladiatorial arena and the local police / army / blue shirted traffic guys / any unfortunate moto dop (who just got in the way) battled it out with whatever weaponry that came to hand; fists, bats, clubs, chains, those spiked ball things on chain, knives, axes (doubled headed), spears, swords, meat cleavers, chainsaws, etc.

Just an idea.

That wouldve been OK i guess.

In honesty i was a little perterbed by the security. Ive seen some pretty tough looking security in various night spots around the world but Ive never seen security clutching AK47s inside a club. Lucky they never looked in my pockets...

It gave the night a really wierd fucked up vibe when combined with the shit music and fucked up building.

I still say its worth it.

Thats the same vibe I got last year, but there weren't the guards with AK's.....just really dodgy and questionable people lurking everywhere.

Hardly my idea of fun.

I know you rock it but still dont understand why or how.

I'm glad you are out there livin' on the edge though... it leaves more room inside for me.
