Ha! Pretty funny, but we live here and there was a general consensus tonight that it was good that the US was being pro-active about getting it's fugitives extradited from Cambodia. Maybe it's just a practice run for when they want someone more important extradited from here, they send Cambodian criminals here, Cambodia sends US criminals back home too. They should feel lucky they aren't getting sent to China or something.Pol Pothead wrote:Now that I think about it, I would prefer Amercian low-life criminals be deported to third wold countries. Just more media glamorizing...
Good paper on the "why" of it...

He understands the meaning of words, and writes grammatically correctly, but that's as far as it goes. All he sees in writing is a reflection and confirmation of his own beliefs. He's incapable of viewing an author's opinion, and selectively builds up arguments from whatever material present that agrees with his own world view - no matter the amount in agreement.
He's also done everything and been everywhere.
He'll write long posts and build edifices on single misunderstood references that can be wiped out in arguing the content of their first couple of sentences, and a huge amount of navel fluff, pocket lint, and wallet dust will be unduly elevated into positions of importance simply because that's the only part of an author's work that agrees with his thinking, and so is the only part he sees.
When you combine the above with his propensity for wiki-debating, a mix of misunderstood references and quotes forms within him which he then allows to flood out and drown many otherwise enjoyable discussions by carpet bombing them with inconsequential dross; it's powerfully offputting.

I think I prefer the new Australia or the newer or maybe the new Cambodia or just slightly older. Just thinking about the options does my head in. It seems he was arrested in 1998 for cocaine possession and in 1995 for "burglary of a conveyance" (i.e. breaking into a car, most likely)

Then came the 2003 charges against a much more respectable-looking Jeffrey for aggravated assault, DUI, and petty theft.

Not exactly Al Capone stuff.
Maybe the Cambodian immigration folks give information to Uncle Sam about Americans who enter the country, and it's just a matter of finding a "hit" for someone who is in the US law enforcement system for having active warrants.

Ever since they've had those fingerprint scanners.... They definitely get sent STRAIGHT to the USA.gavinmac wrote:

He's not related to Ted Stryker is he? Looks like he chose the wrong day to quit being deported!

Good for them, at least they don't put up with trespassers and other heinous criminals.Adapter wrote:

Why don't these people book a flight out ASAP when they see the fingerprint machines at the airport?
If they bother to take the finger print of every wide eyed 18 year old female backpacker, they're guaranteed to put a note on you if you look like an extra from Deliverance.

I have actually. The immigration officials are a rather humorless bunch, but I've never had any problems with them. They should try and cheer the fuck up a bit, or is it illegal for them to smile?Adapter wrote:So you haven't had the pleasure of entering the US at an airport.Lucky Lucan wrote:Good for them, at least they don't put up with trespassers and other heinous criminals.Adapter wrote:

actually, to both of you... i said it's a paper ON the "why" of it... not explaining fully the "why" of it. I find it well written and having some good ideas, so i further qualified it as "good".Chuangt2u wrote:He can't read.jm91 wrote: OD

i never once claimed it was 100% an absolute answer... you're putting those words in my mouth... as you commonly like to do. instead i posted a link to the paper, a quote of one part that stood out to me as many of the Europeans on here like to talk a lot of shit on US crime rates with little to no context, and left it up to others to read the paper and draw their own conclusions from those provided viewpoints and information bits. perhaps you should really consider why it is you feel the need to add, in your mind, extra meaning to my words. And then of course write a long post and build an edifice on that single misunderstood reference...
or did i misunderstand some sentence in your post? were you not implying that my providing a link to the paper meant "this paper fully explains why!" instead of just being a link to the paper with my opinion of it's worth?
Those who begin coercive elimination of dissent soon find themselves exterminating dissenters. Compulsory unification of opinion achieves only the unanimity of the graveyard.

The 2011 UK census put the Muslim population of the UK at 4.8%, of which the 'extremist' element is minute; they quite clearly aren't going to overrun the country. As for your 6:1 ratio of outbreeding native citizens - This is complete and utter nonsense. Between 2005-2010, the Pew Forum found UK Muslims averaged 3 children, as opposed to 1.8 for native UK citiznes, but this figure is on a downward trend and they predict in 2025-2030 the ratio will be around 2.5:1.8 meaning by 2030 the UK Muslim population will be around 8.2%.Adapter wrote: What's going to happen is that the UK is going to be overrun by Islamic extremists while the good folks in the US have the ability and the will to stop that shit. Get back to me in 20 years, as Muslims out breed native UK citizens by a ratio of about 6:1, and more pour in due to PC shit from the UK government.
I don't think there's any need to start arming ourselves just yet.
