Now that is a T shirt I would buy tomorrow.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 10:43 pmActually, I would buy a Khmer440 mug. I never cared for the T-shirt idea because I don't really ever wear them and I don't like clothing with writing on it unless it's just an inconspicuous label. Also you could just keep the mug at home and nobody would ever suspect you of being an internet weirdo - while wearing that T-shirt in public would attract all sorts of the wrong attention.
This would also work as a mug.

How about a nice polo? You know, class this place up a bit.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 10:43 pmActually, I would buy a Khmer440 mug. They are smarter but I find them too hot as well.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
A white polo with red Khmer440 logo in redrum letters with the Scary Movie quote "Chillin', killin'" would be a real hit. I know people who'd kill for less! It should come with convenient handles in the top and bottom for the ultimate strangulation experience. I'm dying to get my hands on this shirt.

How about a beer glass cooler?
Guy used to make them for most of the bars but stopped and mine is disintegrating.
Had them down pat after a few fuck ups then just stopped.

For all you naysayers. Nick hasn't posted since 2019 but at that point it looks like he had gotta his shit together. Talks about being clean and sober and thankful for it.
Looks healthy and muscular. A long way from the destitute Cambodia days.
Hope he's stayed that way

SQUAWK!!!!
Meanwhile his mate, Martin Gates, seems to have ended up in a life of hapless petty crime. He is in and out of court for a variety of petty theft offences - stealing booze, stealing meat etc. most recently he got done for trying to steal a couple of cars.
Just sounds like survival in post-Brexit Britain with a bit of 2022 angst thrown in.Guest wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 11:48 amMeanwhile his mate, Martin Gates, seems to have ended up in a life of hapless petty crime. Do you happen to know if the cars were owned by 440 members? That would be a deliciously ironic twist.
I’m not sure 440 is the go to site in Bournemouth.JollyBee wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 1:20 pmJust sounds like survival in post-Brexit Britain with a bit of 2022 angst thrown in.Guest wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 11:48 amMeanwhile his mate, Martin Gates, seems to have ended up in a life of hapless petty crime. On McLernan, I see he has created a couple of social media profiles, in which he posts manically for a few weeks about being sober, and then suddenly stops.
That doesn’t look encouraging. I suspect he falls off the wagon, falls from the radar and descends into his former life.

Talking of T-shirts, the Scousers have seemed to taken inspiration from the Singlet Bros. for the 2022/23 strip 'leaked' from a Cambodian factory.

uncanny, will 440 be getting royalties?

That design is fucking crap. Is it supposed to look white from a distance? Why is there a dissected penis next to the liver bird?

It's ok to come out of the closet
Wow! It looks like their whole situation was caused by a travel agent trying to make extra cash!!scobienz wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2015 9:22 amJoon wrote:You can just show them to Scobienz, that's good enough for me.
Also, LaudJohn can now independently fact-check the story at Pagoda Rocks.
4) They were stayed at the Pagoda Rocks Resort for the period 29 Jan to 19 Feb. They booked into a 'Bungalow', not a cheap option. These bungalows are $50-$60 a night.
5) They were meant to stay in this place for the entire stay in SHV, but a couple of days before they flew to Cambodia, their travel agent emailed them to say the Pagoda couldn't take them for the entire stay and that they needed to move to Don Bosco Hotel School on the 19th Feb until checking out on the 23rd. Don Bosco is a $30-$40 a night hotel.
6) The entire trip (both flights, all hotels inc B&B) cost GBP2678 in total. THis was paid in full before they left.
So here's the rub: Why did Nick and Martin not go to the Don Bosco hotel on Feb 19th and instead check themselves into a crappy 6 or 8 to a room dorm in a hostel? Why would they do that, when they already had the Don Bosco booked and paid for? It can't be financial - the room was paid for and by their account they had $3000 cash left, just 3-4 days before they were due to leave?
They really need to explain that. Did they figure a robbery in a 'yet to be identified' hostel is a lot more plausible and harder to track down than a robbery of a single room in a 3 star hotel?
I'm really wanting to believe their story, largely because I like CD and I don't want to think he's being taken advantage of. But for the moment, the entire plausibility of their story rests on the reasons for the change of hotel and the identification of the hostel.
Who on earth would want to go from a beach bungalow twixt Shinanouk and Otres to Don Bosco student hotel on the back roads to nowhere?
I expect the travel agent guy spent the $80 (20x 4nights) on KTV. The wings of a butterfly...
