$2000 is clearly bonkers. I just hope there was a mistranslation somewhere. I'd hate to think just after NKOTB introduced his sweet lovely thing to the CEO crew, she's turned around and attempted to stiff him. That would be horrible.Notorious9 wrote:Ha! $2000 does it come with a Camry as well? You have been robbed left right and centre.
I think I paid once a few years back about $140
F**K*D up driving school!

Just give her no questions lolzz
If me I will say this idiot really stupid

I took the test. The questions that you must get right
are the ones about who goes and in what order at an intersection.
Those questions are the most important part of driving in PP.
Like a lot of things in Cambodia, it makes perfect sense what
they are doing.

I have put two girls through driving schools. Cost about $160 and both passed, one a terrific driver and one terrible. The $2000 thing is bullshit.
My thai wife found it impossible to pass the test in WA but two cartons to the copper in the bush fixed it.

This is from the land where certificates can be bought (at this school, the price is $2000), school kids can fail a class and still pass to the next grade, and this insane driving school fails a written because of 1 question?
If your girl is telling you it costs $2,000 to get her driving licence, I suggest that you dump her. It is a portent of the future and she will likely milk you dry or rip you off, as she obviously sees you as a gullible fool who needs to be parted from his money.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.

I think that's harsh. He didn't say that she had asked him for $2,000, just that she had said that people who don't pass pay $2,000 for it. It's a ridiculous statement, but sometimes Khmer women say weird things, there's always a language barrier, I wouldn't take this as proof she is scamming him. She might have meant $200, she might have heard a silly rumor and passed it along, I think sometimes the divorced guys on here are overly quick to scream "She's a greedy lying whore!"LaudJohn wrote:

At the same time you very judgmental on divorced guys.
I think it's great how dedicated NKOTB is to a girl he's never actually met in person, and I was surprised to read that she even attended a party with members of the forum...brave guy, and girl! I wish you the best of luck with your girl NKOTB and I hope you can eventually save up some money and get back to Cambodia to finally meet her and be here to help her with all of her problems rather than relying on an internet forum for advice and assistance.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

By NKOTB's own account, he met her through Facebook after his previous romantic fiasco and leaving Cambodia. Helped her with an essay in English and from just a girl he's helping, she became his girl.

Hang on, didn't I say much the same a few weeks ago, and you said I'd missed out on the last year's developments?
