New Members, Introduce yourself.
I'm Jake, just enoying the peace and quiet of cambodia. Prefer it to Saigon.
Needed find cheap private room hotel, near lap-pool to unfat myself as sitting in cyberspace is not conducive to body.
I tend to not talk to anyone. Just came to the forum finally after being here a month to start reading about Cambodia and what expats talk about.
At the moment filing a patent that will either break or make my life if it passes.
If the patent passes then I will buy a wife and get her to have children for me. Won't care what she does in her free-time. Sick of getting possessive of women. I look at all the octarians walking around here, look like they been here a few years and enjoying the peace for the same reasons as me. Although I am not as old as them I still seem to have the reserved attitude to life. More observing, without any reason to.
The longest stay before Cambodia was Costa Rica. It was nice to watch the birds, never seen so many birds in my life. You just sit there watching birds all day. And me, waiting for the email or skype message from one of the programmers, "Ok I've solved it". The months drift by.
The one I loved I left her in Brasil, that was the longest stay before Costa Rica. She was unfaithful, a polygamist. Good luck to her now ,the best she will find is an ex-married man with kids of his own she will help to bring up. She is long out of my mind and doesn't haunt my sleep anymore, although she did for about 2 years after I left her.
I left Costa Rica in the end after 6 months because my name is not Gringo.
I like Cambodia enough but only get another month on my visa, $50, they sorting it out for me now with the cops. Should be back on monday After that I don't know what the deal is. Maybe I can use my UK passport to sneak back in on another visa. Used to work in the old days before they worked out how to connect their computers together and the fingerprint machines.
I was in Thailand for a while but they were so hardcore anti e-liquid I left for Malaysia where I could get the good stuff. I eat it. I don't smoke it. But when I swim I can't be smoking.
In cambodia it is illegal too but I found my supplier, probably half you in PP know who I am talking about.
I met a guy from I guessing he was french by the accent was strange. He told me in Thailand he got banged up for his e-liquid and vapour machine ,had to get a friend pay $800US to get him out of prison.
A long time ago I stopped bothering to wonder "Why?" governments do the things they do. Not good for tourism is all I can say. Vaping has gone mege-popular in the US you can find a shop on every corner. If they going to ban vaping they going to lose more in tourist dollars than whatever reason they had. Not to mention the irony that smokes are still legal.
For now I just needed a peaceful quiet place with nice hotel managers, cheap room, fan, cool, and good wifi. Nice quiet street, and favorite restaurant. This month is make or break for me filing this patent. If I don't win it then I will be haunted by it the rest of my life because everyone will copy it and I will see it everywhere every day in every city in the world. I will probably then go find some remote country side place back in Australia and get a sheep herding job or some simple job I can just sit as doorman and read books. Gave up on phones about 3 months ago, sick of being tracked by them.
Eventually they will track me anyway through everyone else's phones with face-recognition.
Some times I look at the Octarians and wish I was their age. At least I get out of here before the shit hits the fan.
I'm from Australia, Mebourne but after my third $100 fine for not wearing a bicycle helmut I decided I had had enough of this police state and havn't been back for 10 years. Talk to the mumma and papa over skype. Sometimes they visit me.

Lol... i imagine possessive means requiring pleasant interaction. Get her to have children >> Lucky woman must have no soul or heart or be in need of your money and provision of basic necesseties... in which case, you are an abuser of vulnerable women. So... i hope you find the former rather than the latter.

In Argentina they never say it to your face.

What I mean about possessive is that when I hacked her phone in Brasil, just to check if I had an honest woman, then discovered she had other men, I emailed them and told them stay away from my woman or I would kill them. They went to the police but I already knew what the police would say to them, "Is he living with her? Then stop fucking his woman".
She really messed my head up, and that affected my work. And so last 30 months I can't risk a woman. I will wait till I have restored my financial predicament, and my meditation on that past has been more like, "Jake, you are too jealous and possessive, or maybe boring and so woman will only like you for money, so get money."
I'm new too but will leave my introduction at a hello.
TRYPTYC (does that stand for Try Pty company?).
What is the patent for?
You're saying you would have killed the men who might not have known she had other boyfriends? Sounds like you were going to remain with the girlfriend and she was the one who was cheating. Be careful who you befriend in your new home here.

Jake, you left Thailand for Malaysia because they weren't letting you e-smoke?
I'm pretty curious as to what the patent is for, but there might be some legal implications with sharing that info on the public space.
I don't think you're a bad guy, and hope you get that patent sorted.
All the best mate
(@Beaker: the term 'cauvunist' just describes strong patriotism. Not sure when it became synonymous with sexist/misogynist, but that's how people use it for some reason)
Definition: A male chauvinist pig (MCP) was a term used in the late 1960s and early 1970s among some feminists for some men, usually men with some power (such as an employer or professor), who believed that men were superior and expressed that opinion freely in word and action.Dewi wrote:

In the 1920s and 1930s, left wing activists in America adapted the term chauvinist to refer to those who were bigoted towards minorities and to racists.
Thus, it was a natural extension to have "male chauvinism" apply to an attitude of male superiority or male entitlement to power over women.https://www.thoughtco.com/male-chauvini ... on-3524829
