A quick visit to Amazon and the prices Kampot Pepper if fetching is enormous.
Is there still a special one, that has passed through a bird?

Nothing but an opinionated tourist. The Pope spends more time in countries than I do ! It is also not my place to comment on a gentleman's dress. A real 23 minute wonder, that obviously knows little about ovens and cooking in Cambodia.
The worlds most expensive coffee comes from the Jacu bird poop, not sure about peppercorns.EdinWigan wrote:A quick visit to Amazon and the prices Kampot Pepper if fetching is enormous.

Thanks for sharing your lovely development. Question. How did you deal with the foreign land ownership issue?
The problem with the world is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
One of the best posts on 440 ever, uplifting, positive and beautiful. American hipsters/gourmands are sure to love this product.

That is really really great! Thanks for sharing. Makes me wonder why I haven't done anything in the past 16 years with all the land I own here on the Pacific Coast, I have a fresh water well for the coconuts and mango trees but it's just for the locals to enjoy. I am taking a trip to Cambodia end of April with my daughter. Any chance we could visit your plantation while there? But not sure of our timing, we are just winging it, no schedule, purchased one way tickets. I love pepper, hope to sample some different varieties while over there.

Great post and story, well done. Did you use a drone?...the pictures are great from the air.
Never mind
Thank you. Although the shop isn't open yet, you are more than welcome to visit the plantation. The two families working for us don't speak any english so you have to show yourself around while there. I love pepper too. When you taste Kampot Pepper you will realise that there are no reasons to collect other varietiesJudy expat in Mexico wrote:That is really really great! Thanks for sharing. Thanks. Yes, we used a drone. Or more correct, we hired a man who had a drone. I contacted the guy behind the Kampot aerial videos on youtube. He was very professional, and he did a great job for us.Piston Broke wrote:Great post and story, well done. Did you use a drone?...the pictures are great from the air.
We have a lot of great footage from that session. I'm planning to edit it and make a short movie to put on our website.

Hi Euroboy,
Me, my Khmer GF and a newly wedded couple will be visiting Kep this weekend, would love to visit your pepper plantation for a short visit.
Would you be so kind to PM me with the location?
Thanks in advance.

Kep has only been a province for about 7 years, it was originally part of Kampot.Alexandra wrote:Please explain how Kampot pepper can be grown in Kep. I always thought Kampot pepper is pepper from Kampot.

There is a pepper product with the same avian process. The workers meander around the plantations and collect. Apparently, highly prized and of course and priced due to low quantities produced.Jep wrote:The worlds most expensive coffee comes from the Jacu bird poop, not sure about peppercorns.EdinWigan wrote:A quick visit to Amazon and the prices Kampot Pepper if fetching is enormous.

The farms that I am familiar with do not search for bird-pooped pepper corns. They harvest them from the vines. But yes, there is a bird that loves the Red Kampot Pepper.
