Mystery Brit Toby Nelhams flagged at airport immigration
I suspect this is why he was flagged:
Cambodian police have taken an Englishman into custody. They believe the man, Toby Jamie, ordered the killing of Tony Kenway in Pattaya last month. The two men were former business partners and associates, but it’s reported that things had gone very badly between them

well, would you look at that. what are the chances of GM posting a harmless question about a 'mystery Brit' ... only to have him turn out to be wanted for ordering a hit... pure luck, I'm sure.

They were last believed to be in the seaside town Sihanoukville and the Thai van driver who claims to have driven them across the Cambodian border has given a statement to police.
of course, we'll never know ... but...

Another thought of mine was that it would be a good move if someone wanted to delay another party for some purpose.

I wonder if he just tried to fly into the country and got caught by an immigration officer. If only he had read K440 he would have known not to do that.

Set up a Google alert on your own name - I've done this & companies I work at etc. That way if I ever crash my BMW i8 I'll know which website/forum owners to contact.Edwardo wrote:How did you find out about this thread?smahlen wrote:I've not heard of him, my surname is Nelhams my brothers middle name is Toby, but he's never been to Cambodia and like somebody else posted it's not a very common name. I would say it's a typo at the airport, it's hard for my friends and people I met to pronounce and after a long while in Cambodia and other Asian countries only a handful of times has somebody got it right.

Thai murder suspect to be deported
Cambodian authorities are expected to hand over the mastermind behind the murder of a British national in Thailand to Thai authorities on Saturday.
According to the Bangkok Post, Cambodian police arrested British national Toby James Nelham, 44, and are expected to hand him over to Thai police on Saturday after cooperating with Thai authorities on the case.
According to Thai police sources quoted by the Bangkok Post, Mr. Nelham was the alleged mastermind behind the killing of British national Tony Kenway, 39, who was shot dead in broad daylight while sitting in the driver's seat of his red Porsche Cayenne GTS outside a sports club in the Thai seaside resort of Pattaya.
Mr. Nelham was a business partner of Mr. Kenway's and it is believed that conflicts over business led to the murder, Thai police said.
Thai police had sought help from their Cambodian counterparts to hunt down several foreigners suspected of being involved in the murder of Mr. Kenway after they reportedly fled to Cambodia.
Two other men wanted under warrants issued by the Pattaya court are Abel Caldeira Bonito, 23, a South African who is the suspected gunman, and accomplice Miles Dicken Turner, 27, a Briton who allegedly rode the motorcycle that took the killer away from the murder scene. The two fled to Cambodia the same day as the murder.

The Khmer Times just copied an article about it from the Bangkok Post and said "according to the Bangkok Post." Is that journalism? Reading other papers and then "reporting" sort of word for word what other papers are reporting about something?
Here's the Bangkok Post article:

Yes, it says "Khmer Times Staff." Obviously, whoever copied the article from the Bangkok Post didn't want his or her name associated with the submission.
