White guys calling out "tuk tuk"
Yesterday afternoon I was in the alleyway by Patio, and a white guy was hanging out with the Tuk Tuk drivers, and he asked if I wanted a Tuk Tuk when I went by. I wasn't sure what his deal was, if he was a tourist staying at the hotel or what, but I declined and kept walking. A few hours later when I was leaving, there was another white guy hanging out with the Tuk Tuks, and he stepped out ans said "hey do you need a tuk tuk?" I asked if he was driving and he said no, this guy is (pointing to a guy). I mumbled something like "at jan, mein laan" as I walked quickly away.
I wonder if they're friends with the drivers, or starting some sort of TukTuk business of their own. But I'm going to get really annoyed if I have to start ignoring white guys who can make full sentences on top of the regular call outs for "tuk tuk".

Honky fucks.
I know there's at least one white foreign tuk-tuk driver around town, old, bearded, scruffy looking guy...even saw him sleeping in a hammock strung up in the back one night.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
To a white guy ?Miguelito wrote: I mumbled something like "at jan, mein laan" as I walked quickly away.
Why didn't you just go with a more readily understandable " fuck off you muppet"

Why didn't you just go with a more readily understandable - and very Aussie - " punch to the jaw"

I remember doing the same just for a laugh years back, just to see how phased it got people.

I love it when I hear people call them "tuck tuck".
btw, I used to work as a motodop about once a week for a laugh, mostly just hanging out with one of the dops from my corner but I definitely had a good few paying customers. Local dudes thought it was a hoot to use a barang motodop...

I've always wondered how the tuk tuks who park in that alley by Patio make any money at all.
