It's true that he was just a teacher in Phnom Penh, and a 63 year old one at that, but however hard it was to bring up a child here like that, however hard, he should have done his best for his wife and his boy and been here for them.
Why would a man take his life 15 years after an event with his former wife?
Is it really that bad being a teacher in Cambodia? Are conditions so harsh and the pay so lousy that you have to jump from the 6th floor. Does not add up for me, although I have never taught at a school in Cambodia.
