Announcement: Canby Publications
I, Debra Groves Harman, would like to announce my unwavering support for Canby Publications. Any past employees who are abusing my goodwill and my relationship with Canby Publications and the owner, the late Ken Cramer, are not to be trusted. Because the current staff of Canby Publications is working to continue the business, despite many challenges, I continue to support them. Please help me to support the children and family of the late Ken Cramer. He was a good father, and a good community member to expats and Cambodians alike. It would be wrong to listen to ex staff members who seek to make money from his name--or mine. Ken Cramer and I began developing Canby Publications--named for my hometown--in 1996. We had been acquainted for seven years at that point, and we married in 1993. Ken and I split up in 2001, but had remained good friends. Currently, his daughter is with me here in the USA. Those of you who have been in Cambodia for awhile know how staff can and will suddenly turn. We have dealt with one staff member, with access to money and clientele, who has abused power. Please continue to support the family. Thank you.

Sorry to hear you are having these troubles.
How could an average member of the public assist in supporting Canby publications?

That's easy. Don't trust ex-staff members who are abusing power and goodwill and her relationship with the company. Or something like that.violet wrote:Sorry to hear you are having these troubles.

It might be by not believing and passing on any rumours or innuendo being spread about the company... but I'm not entirely sure either.gavinmac wrote:That's easy. Unfortunate. But not surprising at all.

What the hell is going on? Is a former staff member starting a competing magazine or something?
I wish the best for LTO's family, but publicly posting vague allegations about shadowy figures abusing power seems a bit odd.

The employee in question is I believe a faithful senior worker of 20 years that has recently left Canby. There is quite a bit more to this story from what I gather than just the one side.gavinmac wrote:What the hell is going on? Is a former staff member starting a competing magazine or something?

Thanks. I hired and trained a worker in 2000 and he technically was our employee for sixteen years.
We reorganized the company after it became necessary.
My late ex was aware of some problems before his untimely death, and his death necessitated some immediate changes.
We are glad that we have a crew running the business now, and my late ex's brother is assisting with some management decisions as a consultant.
Business is going well, and I am just mentioning that my name--and the late owner's--may not be used to market advertisements for any "break off" companies that have formed.
Again, thanks.
