I was told by an agent today after I asked about the retirement visa: "Don't care about age.Alexandra wrote:It is reported today that DoI no longer cares about work permits for 6/12 mo EB EOS. They are instead demanding employment letters. If this is true and it lasts, it's good night for all of those who applied for work permits as freelancers/digital nomads/whatever the cool kids call themselves.
3 month extensions don't require anything for now but they are single entry and like I posted above people are currently not able to get even their first E VOA.
Bless
need letter writen by you with your signature that you want retirement visa (ER visa).
6month $160, 1year $290 take around 5days."
Who is to blame for all this?
A) moi - the ones I've met have been generally reasonable, and happy to take tea money
B) molvt - the only one I've had dealings from them is a deputy undersecretary, and an incompetent asshat
C) another department/higher forces
D) gms the accountant
E) nobody to blame but ourselves- sort of understandable

I just don't trust it to end up with a person declaring themselves retired and then having to prove it and 'get out of dodge and don't come back' when they can't.Miguelito wrote:I was told by an agent today after I asked about the retirement visa: "Don't care about age.Alexandra wrote:It is reported today that DoI no longer cares about work permits for 6/12 mo EB EOS. With the freelancer work permit, of which I was one to apply under, it was a case of listening to the rumours and deciding for me personally it was worth following apparent procedures to get as legal as possible here and not undermine my chances of remaining long term. I could have saved my.money, as it turns out but I tend to try to mitigate risk in this type if situation. Now I have to decide whether to extend my visa earlief than required so i have an annual visa or delay a couple of months until it must be extended and hope changes in the meantime don't make it near impossible for me to extend a business visa. People will moan about money making scamming by the govt but that is only because theyvare losing their golden egg

^I cant believe they didn't include 130st (Now know as William & Co. street) I am guessing the k440 pissup is being planned there in celebratory conjunction with the new mongering visa? Alas I cant make it. I just wanna know when Violet is hosting the cheese mongering celebration?

SMW?? I'm not familiar with that acronym so I checked out my steadfast urban dictionary. It gives me a few examples for SMW and I am not certain which is the case here http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=SMW Hopefully its not one of Slit My Wrists or Shake My Wenis as they are on the list.ricecakes wrote:Unless Facebook reports there is a new visa E SMW ....she is on the next plane to Ecuador.
smw
originating from smd (suck my dick), smw means "suck my wenis". Generally used by girls since they don't have a dick.
Hey, you owe me $10.
No I dont! smw!

A post today in the Married2Cambodia group quotes RC's posts, and refers to this thread, but I've not seen the same rumour on any other group.PSD_Kiwi wrote:ricecakes wrote:Facebook groups now reporting they will split the K visa into ;
KD - Child / Dependant as already exists as K
KS - spouse ( free / no time limit/ present marriage papers etc , can work, can pay tax, can do nothing, cannot buy land )
Happy days
Which FB groups are you seeing this info on? Great news if it becomes true, I hate to be sceptical, but it does sound like just another rumour, considering the K-type visa is for people with at least one biological Cambodian parent no matter their age.
