I have to send a one-page document from Cambodia to England. To make a long story short, this cannot be faxed, scanned, etc. as it's an original certified document that needs to be posted.
I have never used the mail service here, and am completely ignorant about it. How can I do this? I need reliability at a reasonable price (it is, literally, one piece of paper that I'm sending). I do not need the document back, so I don't care about any return.
Any help appreciated.

Fedex charges roughly $55 to send a document like that to the USA. That's all I know.

Use Cambodia post, for me it has always been reliable (both sending and receiving).
The fees will differ from day to day and person to person but it technically shouldn't be more than $2-3 for a 1 page A4 letter.
Don't be surprised if you end up paying $5 or so.

This is the official price but good luck with that, especially around the holidays

I have used the Cambodian postal service many times to send documents to the USA. Go to La Poste on street 102 by street 13. The lady at the counter will tell you how much, take your money and your envelope. I ask her to put the stamps on the envelope (these will be less money than you pay) and to frank the stamps. She will look at you in a surly way and then do what you ask. She may give you back the envelope to post in the wooden box. On every occasion the envelope has arrived safely within three weeks. I usually pay about 4 usd for an envelope with about 8 sheets inside. EDIT - oh, and have her put an Air Mail sticker on it.ReasonstobefearfulP3 wrote:Use Cambodia post, for me it has always been reliable (both sending and receiving).

I DHL'd something to uk a couple of months back think it was $60 for a couple of days.
Mine were legal docs so didn't want the (even small) chance of them going missing in the Cambo post system.
Also a few weeks was too long for me to wait.
If I had someone i trusted travelling back I would have asked them to mule it.

Thanks for all the answers. I'm going to try and sort it out tomorrow when the holiday is over and will report back on my experience for future references.

I gave my envelop to the guy mentioned in this thread on Monday afternoon. $30. It arrived in Leeds Thursday afternoon UK time, according to the email I got. Very good service.

I recently sent some documents to the USA using the regular post. This time I was directed to the side room to the left of the main room at the big Post Office. The envelope was weighed and I was charged the exact same amount as the value of the stamps that I was given to affix (about $4 for 20 sheets of paper). I was told the delivery time would be 2-3 weeks and so it was.
