Taxi Ride Experiences
I would pay to see a bloke with a zipper pocket on his back take on 3 freshies. Did you have one of those man bags that Playboy and horace use?

thanks, pajama.
The coughing was very real and very much a communication tool. Not one iota of doubt in my mind. I appreciate that my abridged version does not allow others to accept that. I have no issue with saying my perception of being threatened (fakely or otherwise) with some kind of acid attack may be incorrect. It is almost as (un?) likely that they were preparing to dye my hair from the back seat... I'm not sure why I needed to cover my eyes for that though. It was all weird. It's ok. As someone says, it's provided a hell of a tale to tell.
Logo's tale sounds scary!
Alexandra, the zipper logos referred to sounds like an backward fanny bag.
I'll admit, I did not know what an Adela Quested moment was.slavedog wrote:Please don't take my reaction personally, Dear Violet. I dare say that you had what one might call an Adela Quested moment, albeit one that lasted all day.
In fact, with a decent introduction, and some development towards the end - involving the cops and a dramatic courtroom final scene - we have the making of a modern day remake of E.M.Forster's classic novel.

I can only comment on one part of the story and its this. It would be a very, very bad idea for anyone and everyone in the car if they were to throw acid in such a confined space. The fumes alone would fuck up everyone in the car. Not to mention, the acid would destroy anything in the car that it touches. I have a bit of experience with the acid that can be bought cheaply and easily all over Phnom Penh and it is really bad shit. Even getting a whiff of it in your nose burns like hell, instant coughing and its fumes almost stick to your skin in a thin layer and it burns. Its highly unlikely that they actually had acid, although scaring someone into thinking they do would work just as well I reckon. Its pretty hard to call someones bluff in that situation but I doubt they had acid.

Nonsense. Read violet's posts. The bad guys were all covered up in protective tarp like they were at a Gallagher show. They and the car would have been fine.kansaicanuck wrote:Not to mention, the acid would destroy anything in the car that it touches.

^ Funnily enough I am looking to hook up,with someone who will write something with me, as I seem incompetent at doing it myself. I would ask if you are up for it but I can already tell our styles are very different. I am more the gritty, dark side of human nature....this has not come across in the OP because, guess what?, it wasn’t a yarn.
I have the outline and notes of a pretty grim tale if anyone ever wants to chat over a collaborative effort - preferably an unpublished person.

Did they cough in Khmer or in English?
You're not bipolar by any chance?
Did you not try asking for more? Sounds like you were on a possible roll there. They gave you back 10 or 20 bucks...

Are you asking if i am the poster bipolar bear or are you asking if that is a condition i live with? No, to the latter (and the former). Do bipolars get given money back by odd robbing taxi drivers and passengers too?

I might be up for it. I'm in PP from January for 4 or 5 months with a focus on creating stuff.violet wrote:^ Funnily enough I am looking to hook up,with someone who will write something with me,
We called Howie, Howie The Pox, because he spends more money on doctors and penicillin than he does on the whores and bars that infect him. If he’d stop describing the sexual sewer in his underwear every time he contaminates his cock, we would’ve been kinder and named him Mattress Back Howie, or Bareback Howie, or Howie The Little Fat Fucking Steam Engine. But he won’t keep his unhealthy discharges to himself,so, fuck him, he’s Howie“The Pox”
