What about when you get old?
No social security if you do not put in 40 quarters.
Very few of the young ones here are saving enough for when they retire.
Great life, but when they ate unemployable due to age, what will happen to them and their possible young kids?
Work hard for a decade. Save hard then do what you plan. The years rush by.

I arrived without a pot to piss in 13 years ago & nothing has changed.
I know people who arrived in Cambodia with nothing and built fortunes. But, for every one I know who did that....I can probably count 20 who either lost fortunes, or who got trapped in a menial existence because their skills to make money back home eroded. If you have a specialized trade, skill, or career that is marketable in Cambodia....then get on the next flight because you can have a remarkable life here. If you don't, I would strongly advise you to make money in your home country and spend it over here. If you are in your 20's, you have time to explore and see what path in life you want to take. But, you don't want to find yourself after ten or fifteen years with no way to earn a good living, in a country that will only get more expensive in the future.
