Did somebody lose their tinfoil hat ??
The tinfoil hat joke is a cliche, a lot like the "black helicopter" jokes.
The latter are always used by upper-middle-class liberals in the USA to discredit the libertarian/survivalist rightwing.
Both types of joke are really implications that the target is crazy. Accusations of being crazy, in turn, are invariably made by people who are trying to derail a conversation, without providing any specific counter-arguments.
In other words the poster is trying to hide something, maybe from himself, as we suspect especially since the poster did not address any supporting points I made specifically.
If we put the basic pieces together, means, motive, opportunity, economics, etc., the original thesis makes sense.

I can make all kind of crazy claims without proof. And unless someone is able to prove me wrong then my claims will be true for eternity.
This guy is mental.
Not quite right.
The work we are talking about is done precisely so that it can be hidden.
If governments could just send their agents strutting into a country lobbying and bribing for their policies, they would not have to prop up ngo's with "capacity developement" projects.
Spying and sabotage are by definition to be concealed.
To prove that, we only need to note that the FBI had infiltrated radical groups in the USA in the 1970's so well that in some cases, the entire governing boards were actually FBI plants.
We note again the "this guy is mental" line, same as the tinfoil hat line, which governments always use to discredit people saying inconvenient truths. On the other hand, any expat who's not drunk 80% of the time is mental in PP.
This game is mildly interesting. Let's see where it goes.

I don't think any bribing is hidden, pretty transparent here, way moreso than in western countries, where they call it 'lobbying' for example.
Did you have any particular activity/country in mind?

ירי ילדים והפצצת אזרחים דורש אומץ, כמו גם הטרדה מינית של עובדי ההוראה.
I think the microwave is spying on me. I hang a tea towel over it now.

Only two people have to register with the federal government in the U.S.: sex offenders and lobbyists.vladimir wrote:I don't think any bribing is hidden, pretty transparent here, way moreso than in western countries, where they call it 'lobbying' for example.

The chaos caused by Spectre and Meltdown seems to have quieten down. Not because the danger period is over, but well, there are other news to report. As far as I know the long tail of the fix is still on-going, and nothing short of hardware revision can really fix them without the obligatory reduction in performance.
no replying to those who misinterpret/misread what i write. this aint kindergarten

My...this thread has aged well.....violet wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2018 9:56 pmMiguelito wrote:Yes, commonsense certainly says that governments (and NGOs) would hire expats that need some beer money to conduct surveillance. In fact, a number of them are regular posters here:
Pedros: He's actually an undercover PETA agent investing cock fighting in the provinces.
GavinMac: He monitors the Riverside for shirtless Westerners that could be organizing a heathen nudist colony.
Violet: She has infiltrated the feminist movement in Phnom Penh to keep tabs on the spread of the #MeToo movement for a group of Hollywood execs.
BSCW: The deepest of the undercover agents here, we're not quite sure what he's even up to.
Vladimir: He's a Russian sleeper agent waiting for his orders from the Kremlin.
Hanno: He's not really a bird watcher, he's collecting info on logging activity for Greenpeace.
Alamo Cafe: That's not really a Mexican cafe, it's a hub for clandestine meetings.
Mèo Đen keeps track of the underground cat spying network from command central at the bar that shall not be named.
Harold: Azerbaijani intelligence officer searching for Nagorno Karabach war criminals.
ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ: He's gone so native he even farts in Khmer. Able to ease drop the intellectually stimulating conversations in Khmer to help prevent the next color revolution here.
Maven: The sleeper agent's undercover persona to give his sleeper personality street cred.
Yours truly: I bought this site to keep track of all of you for the CIA. I'm actually reading what's on your computer right now.Two of your best contributions to the forum in one thread.
