Aeon 2 Opened Yesterday
There was a lot of hate on Aeon when it opened in 2014, but I've always been impressed with how busy it always is. Can Aeon 2, located in Sen Sok, draw in visitors as well? As an advantage, it is closer to a lot of the wealthier Khmers that live in the Toul Kork area.
Anyone check it out yet?

The boreys around Aeon 2 are well above the standard of most others I've seen and prices are very reasonable (at least for now). I was able to find a really nice brand new 4 bedroom house in Parkland (aka Chip Mong land) partially furnished for $550/pcm. Borey Angkor also has some really nice places for similar prices. Schools, Sen Sok Hospital, and the new waterpark are all set to open in the area in the coming months. It seems like it'll be a great place to raise a family, and it feels nice being a bit out of town.
Due to how nice they've made it to live out there, I'm sure Aeon 2 will do well. Having Makro just around the corner is also a great bonus for living in the area.

Yeah I was there.
Was absolutely rammed. Half the restaurants ran out of food, while others that were not open still had all their staff there, just standing around. Was very odd.
The shops are all largely the same at Aeon 1. The waterpark isn't finished yet. Meh

It will draw visitors for sure. Like you mention, wealthier Khmer lives around it so it will do well. And they have paid more attention to entertainment and restaurant areas as those are the things that brings customers still in Cambodia.Miguelito wrote:There was a lot of hate on Aeon when it opened in 2014, but I've always been impressed with how busy it always is. Aeon also announced semi-officially that they are building two more malls to Phnom Penh and the land has been purchased for the Aeon Mall 3 already. Third will be built to ING city area along Hun Sen Boulevard and the construction of that will start within next couple months already.
Sen Sok is the ugliest shithole in the whole of PP.

Clearly never been to Manila.
Oh, he lived there. While he was there, it was the greatest city on earth. Until he moved to Hanoi or some shit. Then that became the best place to live.

Ha Noi is a great city and I do not have problems with the locals. Seriously good food, unlike Manila.ricecakes wrote:Hanoi is not a patch on manila

I don't know what you mean. Manilla had the best cuisine in SEA. I was in heaven. McDonald's, Domino's, Burger King, and a while slew of other great, top notch joints.
