Apparently "more than 6,000 mostly Chinese attendees witnessed the inauguration ceremony of a $1 billion Sihanoukville resort project called Wisney World in the capital on Wednesday." There has even been a comment of support from a Deputy PM: “The starting of this project is the right decision because now Sihanoukville is regarded as a rising star in the south east of Cambodia,” she said, “I hope that Wisney World will fill gaps that are lacking in Sihanoukville’s entertainment sector.” However, according to the Post, Sihanouk provincial Governor, Yun Min said he don’t know of any huge project like this in his province.
Copyright and trademark issues aside... what is this, and what the over/under and any of it actually happening?
We’re going to Wisney World!
Wisney World is coming! -- Wait, what??
This is the first thing I think of whenever I see a joint operation between a Malaysian and Chinese company involving theme parks with mainly Chinese investors involved. Been happening in Malaysia for years now, the companies have people "buy" land and houses sight unseen from uneducated Chinese investors and then they disappear with no developement ever taking place.

Perhaps the trillion dollar One Belt One Road plan includes tacky, third rate amusement parks.

You don't know because your permission is not required and your opinion is irrelevant. When the Chinese want you to speak, you'll be instructed what to say and when. Now go back to your karaoke watering hole in your Lexus SUV and kindly f-ck off. However, according to the Post, Sihanouk provincial Governor, Yun Min said he don’t know of any huge project like this in his province.

In Chinooky right now as we speak there is a ''Lemon supermarket'' being built virtually right opposite the well known long standing ''Orange Supermarket''. The new Lemon supermarket also has the same orange colour scheme though by the looks of it.Lucky Lucan wrote:One billion dollars and 6000 brains and they couldn't come up with a more original name that?

I live in China (should be leaving soon though) - they do NOT exhibit themselves to be particularly creative or capable of original thought.Lucky Lucan wrote:One billion dollars and 6000 brains and they couldn't come up with a more original name that?
