Cambodian vs. Filipina GF/Wife
Cambodian vs. Filipina GF/Wife
Im 44 year old divorced guy, and let's face it no pretty, semi young lady will consider me where i live in the West. I would like to remarry one day and I am considering a Cambodian or Filipina.
I would be looking for a real relationship where I am not only considered to be a ATM cash money machine. Any advice would be appreciated.

Why did you choose two countries widely known for selling wives despite having little to nothing in common with the cultures? Not because you want to buy a wife, of course.PonyBoy wrote:I would be looking for a real relationship where I am not only considered to be a ATM cash money machine.
I chose these countries because they are known for their women willingly marrying foreigners.Alexandra wrote:Why did you choose two countries widely known for selling wives despite having little to nothing in common with the cultures? I want to be happy and spend my life with a nice lady and start a family. But I prefer younger and slim girls on the attractive side.
No young girl in my country would ever marry me and the girls my age are unappealing and unattractive

He appears to have been considering Cambodia for the past six months, despite not finding Cambodians attractive.Alexandra wrote:Why did you choose two countries widely known for selling wives despite having little to nothing in common with the cultures? He's probably just taking MerchantMutual's advice from that thread:

That said, I think one super important note to consider is that many Khmer women are very conservative and even if you find one you like, you may not see eye to eye on dating, anything physical, or even your usage of vulgar language. The women I have talked to have even been offended by my use of the word អញ (really just a somewhat vulgar "me"); calling them an owl when they stay up late (one took it to mean I suggested she is a streetwalker); and any number of other inane whatever that has made me more or less give up on Khmer women. And knowing an ok amount of Khmer has gotten me nowhere, too. Having dated a filipina and a korean, I think those are better outlets for the guy who wants to come to Asia to meet ladies.

Its true, i find cambodian women on the unattractive side but open minded to the attractive one. My preference is for Filipinas, but im not close minded to Cambodians. Im sure there are a ton of guys here who have married cambodians or filipinas.
Filipinas have bigger tits but their accents will annoy the shit out of you.

From what the OP is saying he's not the best looking guy in town or in the best shape yet you think some young Asian beauty might marry you. Well that they may but they would want to be compensated heavily to put up with your appearance/personality that their western sisters find so unappealing.
So the difference is you'd either live in the Philipines being bled dry by your new wife and her family. Or you'd live in Cambodia being bled dry by your new wife and her family before you'd served your purpose. It just depends which country you prefer to live in and whether you prefer Jollibees or Lucky Burger

I don't mind the accents. The fluent English is a big plus.
I think the downside for an American marrying a Filipina is that many of them just want to get out of the Philippines and get themselves and their families to the USA. And if you move one to the USA she might quickly tap into her network of Filipina friends, aunts, and cousins and divorce you and take half your money after her citizenship is settled.
Cambodian women are less likely to do that, partly because they don't have the same network of gold-digging contacts and role models who are skilled and experienced in fleecing older American men.

Most of the married expats I know don't seem to be "bled dry" by their Cambodian wives and in laws.tombraider wrote:From what the OP is saying he's not the best looking guy in town or in the best shape yet you think some young Asian beauty might marry you. The family dynamic is worth consideration; perhaps marry an orphan, thereby dispensing of any 'hidden costs'.

Agreed, Same here but then again they aren't ugly, desperate guys obsessed with pretty young girls which is what we are dealing with here.gavinmac wrote:Most of the married expats I know don't seem to be "bled dry" by their Cambodian wives and in laws.tombraider wrote:From what the OP is saying he's not the best looking guy in town or in the best shape yet you think some young Asian beauty might marry you. So you are basically looking for a nice young piece off ass who hasn't been around the block a few times and doesn't really understand men?PonyBoy wrote:Im 44 year old divorced guy, and let's face it no pretty, semi young lady will consider me where i live in the West. I would be looking for a real relationship where I am not only considered to be a ATM cash money machine. Any advice would be appreciated.
