Bentleys are the new Range Rovers.
From what I've heard Mercedes were the car of choice for the rich in the early 90s. The 4WD market kicked off when UNTAC came to town and then managed to "lose" most of their fleet. Lexus and then even Hummers were a thing for a while, then everyone got all classy and bought Range Rovers. Now there seem to be hundreds of Bentleys around.
This thread is a bit dated but has a really good bunch of photos of exotic cars on the streets here: http://www.koonkhmer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1289

I see more Porsches than Bentley’s any day.
No car that’s not an SUV will ever claim the top popularity for wealthy people spot, me thinks.

There are a few of those Bentley SUVs around, they are ugly as fuck and as YaTingPom commented, look like London taxis.dv8inpp wrote:

The large prows on cars are quite popular and are synonymous with some late '60s - early '70s Morris and Austin car models.Lucky Lucan wrote:There are a few of those Bentley SUVs around, they are ugly as fuck and as YaTingPom commented, look like London taxis.dv8inpp wrote:

They are very popular in the UK and always noisy diesels. They are usually driven by short angry bald man.
The real saddos put a “B” badge on the front grill from a Bentley.
Ugly cars but very cheap.

Be nice to see a lovely restored MK 2 jag in the KOW. Or even just Morris Minor would turn heads.

There is (or was) a UK registered 70s VW bug in SHV. It’s had a shonky LHD drive conversion (to get it registered) and was disabled because the owner hadn’t paid the bill for repair.
It was up at BS Borey.
Saw an old Mercedes (60s?) on Khmer24 for sale in SR. That’s about it. Oh and an 80s Volvo 240!
What happened to that Rolls Royce build?
I’ll see if I can dig out the thread.

I’ve done nothing! Ugh! I need some motivation, and I also don’t want to give it to HGB and be fucked over by them so I’d like a better solution.YaTingPom wrote:There is (or was) a UK registered 70s VW bug in SHV. I would not trust HGB to change the oil correctly these days, not since they fired all the foreign staff as a cost cutting exercise a few months back.

Oddly enough I met an old guy in SHV and I asked why he had a badge with a Rolls on it. Turns out he was a mechanic at their HQ for 40 years!
Does it run?
